SOURCE: My char-broil patio grill doesn't get any propane

Hello. The problem you are having indicates that you have to go through a procedure called "RESETTING THE REGULATOR". Turn the burners on for a minute and then off with the regulator and hose off the tank, then hook it back up and very slowly oven the tank. Then fire off the burners.

In the future, always turn the tank valve on s-l-o-w-l-y to prevent this problem.. Joe

SOURCE: grill will not ignite even with manually trying

Can you hear or small gas? It's possible to may have turned the propane tank valve on too fast. Close the tank valve, disconnect it, then reconnect it. Slowly turn the tank valve back on and try lighting it again. Hopefully this is your solution, but let us know if you need more assistance. Don't know how to use my propane, charcoal and fire box grill

Did it come with any sort of manual? That is probably the best way to start. If you haven't done it yet, hook up the propane tank to the hoses on the grill. I would say that the rack under the grill is for storing the propane tank and bags of charcoal or wood. Of course, the knobs are for turning the gas on and off. In between the left most knob and the one to it's right, there is an ignition switch type button, you press it when you have the gas turned on and with a lighter, you ignite the propane. Do NOT turn the gas all the way up before it is lit though, that is a sure way to burn some hair off or actually do some serious harm to yourself. In the charcoal section, you put maybe three inches of charcoal in the bottom of the cylinder. Use some paper or dry pine straw as extra fuel to get the charcoal started. Put a bit of lighter fluid on the charcoal then drop a match on it. I'm not too familiar with fire boxes, but from what I see, you need to use wood in the bottom of it. I can't see under the fire box, but you probably can dump the ashes out after you're finished with it. Start a fire with the wood and cook your food. If I may add a suggestion about cooking with wood, don't use nasty old rotten wood to do it. Cut some good smelling wood and let it sit for a while before you burn it. It will imbue the food with a good smell and taste. Other than that, it is up to you to learn to use your new grill. Good Luck.

Does not start. manual start doesnt work either.

First, is your grill on a cart or built in to an island? Secondly, are you using a 20lb propane tank to fire the grill or is it hard piped to the grill from your house? And finally, has it been converted from Propane to Natural Gas?

If you're using a 20lb LP Grill Tank are you sure there's still gas in the tank? Did you just installed a new, full tank recently and the problem started after that?

If the latter is the case, turn off the grill tank valve and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY, until it's fully open. Light each burner one at a time and turn then to high flame. Do the flames look normal? Are they the proper height? Is so, you just solved your problem. Remember to turn the tank valve on very, very slowly after turning it off each time.

If you grill is hard piped from your house, be sure that the gas line shutoff valve is turned ON.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

I have a full propane tank. I bbq'd about 3 weeks ago, same full bottle. Grill will not light. Good spark at ignitor. Used lighter and lit for a few seconds with low flame on high. No other burners will...

Hello,
You may have turned the gas tank valve on too fast. Turn it back off, disconnect it and reconnect it. Then very slowly turn the valve back on. Light one burner at a time and turn to low before lighting the next. If you are hearing and smelling gas with the tank on but all grill knobs off, don't use the grill. You may have a leaking grill valve, regulator or hose. If you are only smelling gas with the knobs on, it's possible you have a clogged burner or orifice from bug nests, spiderwebs, etc and need to clean it out first. Hope this helps. Douglas

Coleman propane stove, tank got very cold. why?

as propane is used it can create frost on the tank or just cause the tank to feel cold. this is normal. this will be worse when the tank is almost empty.

Take the tank loose from the grill and open all the burners. Then close the burners and reconnect the tank.
SLOWLY open the tank just a little bit and light the burners with a stick lighter. That's what I do. Those new tans have a safety device in them that locks off the gas if the tank tilted even slightly or the gas valves are opened too fast.
