Hello alfie_matthe, One thing you might try is to remove the card from your camera and look for a small tab that can be slid back and forth. (Sometimes there is a lock and unlock icon as well.) If the card has the tab, then slide it to the opposite position and insert it back into your camera. If this does not work post a reply or if this solution was helpful then please rate it. Thanks! Edward

Look at your memory card. SD/SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I need a solution please, the camera says protec escr and i cant do nothing, can you help me?

You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, so I'll assume it uses SD (and/or SDHC) cards.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Protec. Escr. ¿qué significa esto?

When this problem occur you need to set the memory card unlock or not protected. Remove the memory card from camera and you can see a small button in the memory card, so you need to slide that to set the memory card unlock or not protected.

MY MEMORY CARD IS WRITE PROTECED.IT WON'T FUNCTION.

Hi,

To remove the write protect lock, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .

MY MEMORY CARD IS WRITE PROTECED MY CAMERA WONT WORK

Remove the memory card from the camera. On the side of the card, there is a tiny button. Push it to the other side of the tiny groove on which it sits. Voila your card is no more write protected. If you are still lost, let me know.

Protected card pops up and I cant take any pics?

Remove the card from the camera.  There is a small slide tab on the card which shows a picture of a lock.  Move the slide tab to the unlock position.  If this doesn't fix it, replace the card.
