If ice is getting stuck in the mold, it usually can be removed using a plastic (not metal) tool to eject it. Sometimes using a cooking spray like PAM (very lightly) on the ice mold can reduce the tendency for the cubes to stick. If you are still having a problem, write back. -- SWT

In this case you have to replace the entire ice maker since the mold section is not sold separately. If you shop carefully you can get the entire shebang for about 40 bucks on ebay.

Ice maker not making ice

Check and see if a cubes or cubes are stuck in the ejection fingers. If the ice mold is full try cleaning the bottom coils. If the ice mold is empty check the water valve solenoid. Most times both the ice maker and water valve gets replaced at the same time. Nothing inside the ice box controls the ice maker. It does it all itself all it needs is for their to be 35f in the freezer or better.

Ice cubes won't eject

if they will not eject . then i would think the mold & or heater have failed . it works like this . it fills / it freezes/ ( the freezer must be 15 deg or lower for ice mker to cycle . ( cck the tempt ) and if ok then the thermo cycles the ice mker . during the harvest cycle the mold heater comes on and warms the mold and releases the ice. the hands move the ice out . .. so if cold enough the ice mker is bad. cheaper to repl ice mker than repair it . in most cases . mm hope this helped feed back pls ..

The ice maker is not able to eject the ice cubes. You can see them partially exposed but they will not move. The unit keeps making noise...I assume it is trying to eject the cubes. How do I resolve this...

the under side of ice maker should be very warm. this is the heater that warms the ice mold . if its not hot ( warm) the the ice harvest is slow or not at all . if heater is bad or mold ruff or warn out . the ice mker wil have to be replaced . you can clean tray and use a food grade silcone and it will help if heater is ok .. mm .ps some times the ice cubes are too small and get jambed in the slots . if so adjust the cube side ( more water adjustment . this will correct the problem mm ..

I usually replace icemakers as a unit. It sounds like the mold heater is out. The system cycles like this: Fill, freeze, mold heat, eject, and start over. The mold heater not working will prevent ejection.

Shot Mold Heater?

The mold heater comes on shortly before the ice is dispensed. It warms up the mold so that the ice releases. The heater, if not working could cause the water to overflow as the ice can not be ejected if the heater does not work. That woud make the appearance that the ice melted and refroze.

Each mold tray has a heating element that is turned on to free the ice cubes from the mold tray and allow them to fall into the ice bucket when the tray is rotated into harvest position. Sounds like that is not being turned on... or is defective..
