Hello... I have a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 SB0100... however I cannot find any Vista 32 drivers around it seems... what would happen if I just put into the system without having a driver? I'm very knowledgeable about these things as you can tell... not! I'm just worried that I may be asking for trouble... Just got a system with Vista installed and I want to put my old audio card into the machine. Thanks

Z-lite sound Cards always have problems. Go to Amazon and get a SoundBlaster Card instead. Windows XP, Vista And Windows 7 have default drivers for most SoundBlaster 16-bit and 24 bit Cards. They cost around 20 bucks.

Usually when I install drivers for hardware I never use the CD that ships with the product. By the time the product has shipped, CD's that contain software for the product are usually outdated since hardware manufacturers are constantly updating software around the time of release and for awhile afterwords. Because of this, I like to go straight to the manufacturer website and download the absolute latest software/drivers for the hardware in question.
Here's a link below to both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows Vista software for SetPoint. Depending on what version of Windows Vista you're running [32 or 64], choose the appropriate one and try installing that. If that doesn't work, visit Logitech's Support Website, choose your product, and download the appropriate drivers.
Is the Soundcard already in the PC at the moment? If you need help putting it in, let me know.
Here's an overview of driver for Windows 98. When the card is inserted in one of the PCI expansion slots you must install it's drivers. Windows will probably detect the card but doesn't know how to control it.
