There should be a spot in your fuse box to connect it to. You pobably need to put a contact clip(slide on) on your wire end. Personally I like it directly to battery, fused if needed and put a kill switch under the hood.

your artic cat may have a plug for your winch and again it may not. Call any artic cat dealer and tell them what you want to do. Have them recommend a winch that is compatable with your 4-wheeler and get a price that includes installation.

I am wiring a Superwinch 4500 to my Yamaha Rhino.
Problem the two red wires go to the key switch.
Do they just splice into the 12 wire ?

Hello. It seems the winch on your Yamaha 'strained' its electrical system; 'fried' wires including the 'starter circuit' wiring. It's possible there is a 'blown' relay and/or fuse somewhere. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

KFI winch won't spool in or out there is power to it I can hear it clicking

If your wiring a remote control to the winch or inside control,,, 4 solinoids type,,make sure the solinoids have ground on the brown wire(warn)...if you don't have a ground all it will do is click,,,even if power is applyed

if you can use the winch manually by pressing buttons on the winch then the problem will be in either the remote unit(Battery in back to front) or the receiver in the winch

Warn winch troubleshooting

It sounds like your solenoid is not reversing the polarity , which will require a new winch solenoid. Before replacing the solenoid, check your switch. It might have one contact no good. Switch the wires around and try to retract winch by paying out.

What is the wiring diagram for winch remote

Ramsey website shows Badger wiring diagram for solenoid hookup etc but not plug. Shouldn't take a good DIY mech or auto electrician too long to work out which wire goes where especially if they loosen the socket it plugs into which should reveal which wires go to where on the solenoid block. Basically that's all they do, there's a supply side, a ground wire and all the hand control does is switch the supply to the solenoid for forward and reverse. From memory there's only 4 wires? Supply to hand control,1 wire to one sol, 1 wire to other sol, 1 ground wire. Supply could be red, ground is usually black, fwd / rev will be 2 other colours. Look at the socket to see match up?

Can you tell me where I should mount the solinoid on my 2007 Yamaha 700 EFI Grizzly 4-wheeler for the 2500 lb warn winch? I would like to mount it under the front rack beside the battery but I do not know...

most of them mount under that back rack although where ever you have the room is fine. It doesn't really matter where you mount it so as you have room for it.
