Question about Sony VAIO VGN-FS630/W Notebook
You do not need to make a bootable cd.
You download the bios file, and when you launch it, it will automatically update the bios.
Here is your support page with detailed instructions of what you need and how to do it http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNFS630&upd_id=2241&os_id=7
You can print off a copy of the instructions, there is a link at the bottom of the support page

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
