Question about Hitachi Performa CP-RS55 Multimedia Projector

2 Answers

Have a hitachi projector CP-RS55. it has suddenly developed the following fault. on switch on both the lamp and temp warning light are flashing. i made the assumption that the machine required a new bulb, which i replaced as well as a new filter and followed the necessary procedures following the replacing of both items ie. resetting lamp time and filter time. switching on again the two lights are still flashing. can you please advise.

thanks for this. fan working okay as problem started with previous lamp (new one purchased through hitachi dealer) could this mean thermic sensor is defective?

further to my last comment. can confirm lamp voltage is correct. if thermic sensor is at fault and the fan is working can the equipment be used in emergency ie before repair.

You should check voltage to the lamp, check also that the fan is working. The thermic sensor may also be defective.

Failure to change Filter Time

unplug projector for about an hour, and then remove bulb, and filter, inspect areas for damage, also inspect it to make sure your inserting it correctly. put filter and bulb back in, put covers back on, then plug it back in. reset the timer. if you still have problems let me know.

There is blue shadows in the picture, my hitachi cp-rs55 just got a new lamp, but the problem is still there???? How do i solve this problem??

Hi

The problem could be caused by the connection or configuration of your video equipment. Check the following:

  • Make sure your component-to-VGA video cable is properly connected.

  • Select Component Video as the Computer Input setting in the Signal menu.

  • Make sure the connected video equipment is set up to output video to component video.
Hope this helps

Problem with hitachi cp-RS55 multimedia projector sir

There is a menu item which has both the lamp hour reset and check air flow, etc. You must go into the menu and reset the air flow item. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE DUST FILTER!! Heat is the number one killer of projectors and Hitachi's run "hot". I clean my projector once a week--Hey, I'm not rich. lol! Also, excessive heat will cause the lcd panels to fail prematurely and cause lots of other components to do the same.--Rick

My CP-RS55 Projector Doesn't Work??? No Light?

Hi there

If the unit is brand new , they should replace it under warranty.

This is most probably a faulty Powersupply / Fanboard !
