Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model T642, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, which you did, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.

I have an hp 4300 with a 13.12.00 error when the duplexer is installed

Here is a copy of the 13.12 error troubleshooting steps from the service manual.

1. Press the HELP ( ) button for
detailed information about
clearing the jam.
2. Press the UP ARROW( )
button and the
DOWN ARROW ( ) button to
step through the instructions.
3. Check the paper width and
fuser delivery sensors
(PS106, PS108) and verify
that the sensor arms move
freely. (See "Location of
printer switches and sensors"
on page 336.)
4. Check the inside of the
duplexer for scraps of media
that might have torn off when
a jam was cleared.
5. Replace the media-size
sensor (PS106) and fuser.
See "Location of printer
switches and sensors" on
page 336 and "Fuser" on
page 162.
6. Turn the power off. Remove
the duplexer and turn the

message persists, replace

7. Replace the fuser (PS108).
See "Fuser" on page 162.
8. If the error message appears

Sir, I have on the machine power many times. But all time it screen had been shown an error "SC546" and some instruction below the error is this "switch try on/off" and call service. I...

That is caused by either a dirty or defective fuser thermistor.
What you can try is this.
Press the yellow clear all button, then 107 then hold the red stop button until the machine switches to SP Mode. Then press the copy SP or system SP button. When that page changes, shut the machine off then back on. If the problem comes back you will have to remove the fuser and clean, or replace the thermistors that make contact with the hot roll. That is the black aluminium roll in the fuser unit.

Dell 1600N Multifunction printer problem.

Fuser issues - if problem is reoccuring then you are looking at more expense, are all vents free of obstructions (folders leaning on machine sides/rear) is machine being flogged, is power supply consistent, maybe even fuser bought was faulty, many options, try doing a warranty claim on fuser or replace again, even better get another printer, welcome to our throw away world!

Error message on screen E000001-0002

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode: press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside) press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley) press "additional functions" again The display should show a choice of copier, feeder, sorter, fax,or board service modes Select copier select clear select ERR press OK Turn power off & back on. ****IMPORTANT**** After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair. Good Luck!! I can be reached @ bspier@carlsonsupplies.com if you have any questions.
