Restart your computer during the boot process you will see on the screen a certain key to press usually the Delete or F2 to enter setup (BIOS) this will differ depanding on you computer and operating system bios
You have different keys to click on different PC. Since you have not specified the kind of laptop you have, here are few keys you have to strike: Turn off computer first then before it opens, you have to click DELETE key randomly to enter to bios utility setup. If it does not work, turn off again and try F12, if it doesn't turn off then try these: F1, F11 and ESC. Congratulations.

Entering
the BIOS Setup menu requires pressing a specific key at a specific
time. If you fail to enter the Setup menu on your first try, repeat the
following steps until you are successful:
Close all applications that are currently running and restart the computer by clicking Start

When the red Compaq logo or blue HP logo screen appears, press the F10

NOTE:

alternate to the above steps, especially if the logo screen disappears

Complete the following steps to reload the factory installed BIOS Setup settings:
In the BIOS Setup utility, select the Exit

Select Load Setup Defaults

Try resetting the BIOS in case something happened to it.
Power down your computer. Remove the power cord, the rechargeable battery and the BIOS battery. Wait 10 minutes. Reinstall the BIOS battery, the rechargeable battery and the powewr cord. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup.
If nothing happens, your video card may have failed.
If not, reset the mobo: either remove the mobo battery for a few minutes, or "short-out" the two reset pins next to the battery or next to the CMOS BIOS chip.
If you are not using the built-in video interface, then put two monitors on the system and adjust the way you want the monitors to behave.... or disable the built-in vga interface through the BIOS setup.
