The gun needs an `O´ ring kit as the `O´rings must be worn. Depending on whether it is a hobby model or a professional item, it may be easier and cheaper to get a replacement gun.

When water is running through system, the motor has to run to keep the pressure built up. So, if the water is leaking out, the motor think it needs to keep running to keep the pressure built up. The leak needs to be fixed to the motor will not run constantly.

Hey, I'm having trouble with my Dewalt 18ga Brad Nailer trigger. Can you send me the directions you have on how to get into this thing? I'd really appreciate it.

For removal of dewalt D51238k trigger valve. Remove the nails.
Remove the pin holding the trigger in place. Then remove two roll pins in the body of the gun just above the trigger (3mm roll pins). With gloved hand, apply air pressure to the gun which will pop out the trigger valve. Use caution because the valve could come out with force. Try with low pessure first, then increase as needed. If you are removing the trigger because the gun will not fire, (only puff of air from trigger area), suspect problem in the head valve instead (usually, trigger valve is bad if air leaks from trigger when you connect air ). Good luck

    Hello,
This part should be available from the manufacture, have you check their website. It is normal when you turn the water on for a small string of water to come out the gun when you press the trigger even when the engine is not running.
    Thanks

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. I installed a new grease cartridge in my grease gun and grease does not come out when triggered.

If the gun was working properly before you changed the cartridge, The gun is air-locked
Two things: 1. Make sure the bottom rod is pushed in. 2. Holding the gun by the handle on the top left of the gun, below the hose there is a little metal valve. Push that vent valve down and pull the trigger repeatedly until grease starts to come out.
If that doesn't work. Remove the grease hose, hold the vent valve down, pull the trigger a few times. Then release the valve and pull the trigger until grease comes out. Replace the hose.
And if that doesn't work. Sometimes when you put in a new cartridge the metal "washer" that actually pushes the grease up the cylinder will get caught at the bottom of the new cartridge. Make sure the washer will move freely into the cartridge.
    That should do it!

Engine runs , not getting any water flow when trigger pressed.

    Disconnect hoses.
Look for kink in water hose.
Check incoming water connection for filter washer
    Replace filter washer
If you don't have a filter washer, put one in.
Hook up water, and turn on
Water should come out other side of pump.
    Turn on machine.
Do you get pressured water out of pump.
If no pressure, then pump is suspect
Hook up washer hose without gun
Does pressure come out of washer hose
Finally, the gun trigger may be bad.

We had to buy guns now and then.
    Search for pressure washer guns
Following link shows guns we used:

The handle leaks and seems to not have the tension on the handle. I have it apart and it seems like a tension string is broken but I can't see how it reconnects.

They don't offer parts for the trigger guns, you would just need to purchase a new trigger gun. There is a number of different trigger guns for these machines though, what is the model and part number of the machine that you have?

pressure washers has this pressure switches where in as you press on the trigger, the washer works and if you release it, the pressure would build up high and it would trip this switch to turn off the motor or deflect the water to the by pass hose ( if the motor is not stopping) then as you press again the trigger, water should come out of the gun again but would not,

i have encountered the problem is in the pressure switch, even the pressure went down, sometimes it wont close the contact then the motor wont run ,

if the motor is continously running, then the trigger switch is the problem, the pressure excerted on the switch is so high that even if you press it , it won't open up to release the water.

what i can suggest is to tie the trigger in the gun so that it is always pressed and then just unplug the unit if you want to stop using it. it is an inconvenience but it will work.

or, open the gun and see if you can figure out why pressing the trigger would not open the switch.

another option is you can lower the pressure of the washer if it has an adjustable pessure controller. by lowering the pressure might open the switch when ever you press the trigger.

i hopw i was able to fix...

    good luck,
