I have the EJ351 mechanical in-wall timer for my outdoor garage lights which are LED.I set the timer but lights go on way early Is there another method for programming the switch that I could try.

This is not a mechanical timer; it has a solid-state switch. It is designed for incandescent lights, and is not recommended for CFL or LED lamps. It may work properly with dimmable LED lights if you have at least four (total 32 Watts or more) connected.

You can try programming using the 24-hour method described at the top of page 2 of the manual. I've provided the link to the manual below.

Timer programs disappear on my Brinks Digital Timer 44-1041. I believe home power failures are the cause but I'm not sure.

Look at electrical rating of timer to make sure it matches the air conditioner.
Often an air conditioner is too heavy a load for ordinary programmable timer... even if timer is rated for inductive load,,, because motor pulls a lot of initial amps that eventually overheat timers.

-Suggest buying another or the same timer, and using intermediate relay ... like a solid state relay... or miniature relay... and so the timer turns on the relay, and the relay handles the high amp switching ... and this means the timer lasts longer
http://waterheatertimer.org/H230A.html#solid

-Or buy 17 program CN series timer, and use relay or contactor
http://waterheatertimer.org/Programmable.html#PB

-Or buy several of the Brinks timers and replace when they go bad.

-Also consider surge protection... because simple power outage will blow out electronic circuit boards. Check household grounding also.

Dear Sirs, I try to change Intermatic E1343 solid state timer to normal 2 ways switch. I saw the cable in 3 colors : black, red and blue. do ou know the menaing of each cables? if you can email me...

I think you mean Ei343 instead of E1343.
I have manual for EJ341 and EJ343 that shows wiring for single-pole and 3-way.
I believe the EJ343 is wired same as Ei343 since Intermatic Load rating chart groups these timers together.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-EJ343-timer.pdf

Load-rating chart:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Load-ratings-for-Intermatic.pdf
Load chart implies this is 120Volt in-wall timer for inductive and tungsten loads up to 400Watts.

Now here's something to remember.
When any timer is wired for 3-way, the timer replaces one of the 3-way switches.
The other 3-way switch remains, but the other 3-way switch has to be rewired differently so that 3-way timer works correctly.
When removing timer from 3-way circuit, don't forget to re-wire the remaining 3-way switch so it works correctly.

To convert your timer to operate single-pole: Timer Black wire connects to Hot wire from circuit breaker. Timer Blue wire connects to wire going to Light. Red wire is capped off.

1) I searched Intermatic for EJ341 and showed no result:

3) Intermatic makes timer with similar number: EJ351 push-button-dial-type timer, which is available with internet search
http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/consumer%20indoor%20timers/in-wall%20timers.aspx

4) You can choose from many timers on market today:

Bought yesterday. Following instructions,0000 is not the default code on this unit!!

Try this:
Trail Scout and Trail Sentry camera re-programming procedure.
1) Turn unit on and wait for screen to prompt password
2) Press the enter button and hold until camera switches into 5-digit password mode _ _ _ _ _.
Trail sentry cameras will not indicate 5-digit mode on the screen, but will indicate _ _ _ _ instead of HHHH .
3) Press enter to confirm 5 digit mode (for trail scouts go to next procedure).
4) Enter 5-digit code 66214 and press enter button( trail sentry cameras will accept a 5th Digit after the 4th 0ne is entered in the _ _ _ _ screen.
5) Camera will now go into operating mode, and user can now program a new password from the setup mode

Need instructions

I have a similar sounding timer. It has the same dial and an AM/PM window on it and is made by Dynascan. I found this post on Fixya: http://www.fixya.com/support/t2314418-instructions_program_intermatic_ej351c and then went to the intermatic site and got these instructions: http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/files/intermatic/products/instructions/timers/ej351c%20-%20english.ashx I used the RAPID programming instructions and they seemed to work great (at least the red light acted like it was supposed to.) Guess I'll find out tonight :)
