SOURCE: hello... I've rented a Bosch

You should only need to push the bit in. If that does not work grasp the chuck and pull back towards the handle than insert the bit and release the chuck. You remove the bit by doing the same pulling the chuck back and taking the bit out

I have a Bosch 1617 EVS router, a couple of years old, one of several routers, so not a lot of hours on it. A minute or so after turning it on I get a burning smell. It doesn't smell when I run

Check the armature bearings, especially the lower one hear the collet. It's possible some of the liquid wrench got into the bearing and cleaned out the lubricating grease that's in there. If the bearing is dry or damaged, either from use or during the removal of the stuck collet it will cause the motor to work harder which causes heat buildup and eventually a burning smell. If you bent anything you would feel a very distinct vibration in the tool when you turned it on that wouldn't have been there before. The bigger the bend the greater the vibration.

How to replace knob assembly on bosh 1 1/8 rotary hammer drill 11222 evs

Push the red button all the way in as far as it goes and turn the knob to the left (counter clockwise) past it's normal position. Then you can pull the knob out. When you replace it make sure that the pin part fits inside the slot of the shifting arm inside the tool.

I have a Bosh, model no. 11232 EVS Hammer Drill, but do not have the service manuel, and would like to know how to service it, how and when.

Many people service their hammer drill when it begins leaking, stops hammering, or just quits running. Bosch makes a service kit that comes with brushes, grease, and all the o-rings and seals their own technicians at the Factory Service Center use to rebuild the tool. 1617000263 is the part number for the service kit, and costs under 50.00 . The unit will have to be torn down and cleaned(everything forward of the armature). If you dont do it for a living, it can become quite a project. Try to avoid bringing into a service center disassembled, because they will charge you more than if you just dropped it off for a rebuild.

How much oil and what type goes back in the bosch 11241 evs

The best way is to find a Bosch service center and get the oil change kit. P/N 1615437511 this comes with a small bottle of oil and a top cover gasket. All you do is remove the top cover dump out the old oil and pour in the whole bottle of the new stuff. Couldn't be more simple.
