Mail Program? Outlook Express? Mozilla Thunderbird? Operating System? Some more information would be a key to get a proper answer. Just a guess without any other data. Try to see if it is properly configured the required data for mail servers, name, mail address, and so on. Sometimes if something is not well configured, it simply does not let you send any mail. Good luck.

What are you sending/receiving emails through? A specific program or provider? I suggest if your using a mail client on your computer, to uninstall and install the latest version.


I would also suggest checking that your Anti-Virus program isn't blocking your mail client.

There is no mail, compose, or send button in yahoo anymore


We had the same thing happen on my friends computer. we where using Google Chrome as our browser and the newest upgrade to yahoo mail. In the process of trying to get our send button back and attach working with reply, she also asked to have the toolbar "Ask" when we disabled it and refreshed the page, ever ing went back to normal. So if you have those promotional toolbars like ASK or BING maybe try and disabling, it work for us...

Get rid of spam


Unsolicited junk e-mail, or spam, is an unwelcome and often offensive byproduct of the Internet's success. Although there's no guarantee you can avoid all spam, there are ways to avoid looking at most of it.Instructions

  1. Basic prevention
    • 1 If you're already getting spam messages, check with your Internet service provider to see whether it has a spam-prevention option that scans your incoming e-mail for known spammers.
    • 2 If you're lucky enough not to be getting spam now, then sign up for a second (free) e-mail address from a service such as Yahoo or Hotmail. Use this address exclusively for e-commerce, mailing-list subscriptions and bulletin-board postings of any kind. Reserve your main e-mail address for private e-mail to and from friends.
    Rule filtering
    • 1 Create an e-mail folder called Suspected Spam.
    • 2 Use the filtering feature in your e-mail program to create rules that redirect spam messages to your Suspected Spam folder. Most spam is not addressed to its recipient by name.
    • 3 Define a rule for incoming mail that says, "If my name appears in the To: or cc: field, then move this message to the Inbox." The procedure for defining rules varies among e-mail programs, so you should consult your program's Help feature to learn exactly how this works.
    • 4 Define individual rules to catch e-mail that isn't addressed to you personally but that you nevertheless want to receive, such as messages from lists you've subscribed to. Have these rules redirect the relevant messages to the Inbox or to special folders that you have created for mail from those sources--for instance: "If the Sender field includes 'MyList,' then send this message to the MyList folder."
    • 5 Define a final rule that sends all other e-mail that hasn't already been redirected by one of your other rules to the Suspected Spam box. For instance, a rule that says, "If the Sender field isn't 'XYXYXYXYY,' then move this message to the Suspected Spam folder" would work as a catchall.

I recently set up two yahoo email accounts. I try to send messages, but I receive a notice that the mail cannot send because of suspicious activity on my accounts---both of them. I do not think anyone is...


This isn't a problem on your part, it's simply the new version of Yahoo Mail, if that's what you're using.

You should use the Classic Mail version as there are no issues with it.

Simply click Options, located on the right hand side of the page, click Switch to Mail Classic and you shouldn't have any problems sending mail.

Hi there, how can i put the signature in my yahoo mail to be at the top of the message i want to send not at the bottom...?


Well a signature is supposed to be at the end of the letter no matter what kind of mail it is. Isn;t it? There is no way to put it at the top

How do I send emails?


Hello. In order to send email, go to www.mail.yahoo.com.
Here, enter your ID and password and click Sign In. After doing that, you will see a "compose message" box, like this:

or you will probably see a "New Button", like this one:

Select "Email Message"

You will now be prompted to a new window which will look like:

In the "To:" line write the e-mail of the person you want to send an e-mail.
At the "Cc:" line it isn't necessary to write anything.
At the "Subject" line write whatever describes your message well.

In the Message Box you should write whatever you want.

Click on send an that's it.

Note: Clicking the "Attach files" box you will be prompted to a window where you can browse different files/photos/videos from your computer to send in order for the other person to view them.

How does the 1210 scanner work with Windows 7? I have downloaded the driver for the printer and it works ok, but I cannot use the software for the printer. The copier and the scanner work, but i cannot...


You will have to do a two step process to send a scanned document or image by email; the scan to e-mail button won't work. Scan using either Windows Fax and Scan or Paint. Save your file. Then start (Compose/Write) an e-mail to the person you need to send the document. Click Attach and browse to the location where the scan was saved. The default folder is C:/Users/<user_name>/My Documents/Scanned Documents . Click OK after selecting that image. Finish writing your e-mail and send it.

If you'd like to automatically open the e-mail program, browse to the folder where you saved the fax from Computer (Start button) and right click on the image. Choose Send to Mail Recipient. The new mail compose window should open.
