Can i downlode asony pcg 7m1m driver on my pc and than cope to disk to run on my sony laptop

if the sony laptop already has an OS on it or a newer version of windows than XP, you have to uninstall the current OS on the sony vaio. also, that means reformatting the Hard Drive on the sony which actually wipes it clean. Before you do that, you should have the original disk of the sony pc drivers installation or you need to go to the product(sony vaio) web site so you can download those drivers for (PCG-61213W) to disk or flash drive. after wiping Hard drive, you can install the XP, then the drivers that you downloaded. However, viaos are strange pc's so i would ask Sony if this XP install will be compatible with the Sony pc hardware components first. good luck.

For sony vaio, this is normally caused by some settngs (a set of switches) on the board that one or two trip over, thereby changing the settings. Because of this, the Laptop fails to turn at all or boot properly. You may have to get a professional technician to check it on the board for you.

ou must first take off the top plate where the buttons are. Start from the right side and work your way over, the there shouild be 3 screws holding the keyboard down. Once the screws are out slide keyboard up and disconnected the connectors on the botton.

There should be a factory image on the HD when you try restarting it. Hold down the F8 key or F10 key while its rebooting this should start the recovery process you shouldnt need a windows disk.

or try putting the disk in that came with the laptop and having it get the drivers off that. Or if it only came with a windows disk call sony and see if they have a driver disk you can download or they can send you

DVD Driver is full compact only way is to replace with new drive it cannot repair it.
