Are you talking about moving it from the lower slots to the upper one for baby/toddler size? If so, have the car seat out, the back facing you. Carefully unlace the straps from the metal toggles, if you have a problem remembering, grab your digital camera and shoot a few photos as you go, this is such a life saver in so many experiences (hubby used this when rebuilding a car engine--smooth).
Anyway, undo 1 side at a time to pull out to the seat side, move it up, then do the other side.
You know to adjust for the length when fitting little person in to use the toggle at the front bottom to pull. There is a little lever, may be red, just between the feet of child that allows you to loosen or tighten straps from that point.
If you are really in a predicament, call your local public health office, they may have a print out of a generic seat that this is done for.
Please call a ParentLink Representative at 1-800-233-5921, Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Hope this helps, GrandmaJ.

I am having trouble adjusting shoulder straps

Funny, I was just putting this seat back together after taking it apart to wash it. It is a very difficult process, simply because you have to remember which order to loop the buckles through the stap.

First, I assume you want to switch from the lower holes for the shoulder, to the upper. (If not, then there is no adjustment needed. Unless the strap is caught in the back which will make the straps uneven when you go to tighten them. This has happened to me).

So, first you need to remove the straps. Once the seat is removed from the car, look at the back of the seat and you will see a metal bracket that is holding three straps. The bottom strap is not removable from that bracket. The top two strap are attached to the bracket with loops. Remove the straps by sliding them out (edge of the strap has to come out the hole first, then the rest will slide out very easily), Once out, from the front of the seat, pull the strap through the holes

At this point you must decide whether you simply want to adjust the seat, or wash it too. I highly suggest washing it if you haven't done so recently. If you gone this far, go all the way. But since you only asked to adjust it, and the method for removing the cover is much more complicated, we''ll move on to adjusting

Now that you have the straps pulled through, be sure that the straps are not twisted, and simply push them through the desired holes - upper or lower - and reconnect to the loops brace (remember, edge in first).

If you are having problems with the straps not being even when tightened (one side tight on shoulder, other side loose), remove the seat and look to see if the strap is caught on something.

I'm retiring my seat today after six years and two kids. I could use it up to 80lbs, but it makes it difficult to get to the third row of seats in my car. So now we have two no-back boosters.

How can pull adjustment belt

The shoulder straps feedthrough a loop in the adjustment belt so when you pull on the belt it tightens the straps. When you say it came out, if it has come out completely then you will need to remove the car seat and locate where it connects to the shoulder straps before feeding it back through the hole again

HARNESS FOR FRONT FACING EVENFLO TITAN CHILD RESTRAINT

there is another thread on this.

Basically, locate the ends of the straps on either side of the seat. You can remove the plastic end thingy and take the strap out. Then re-thread the strap. Remember to thread it through the thin grey strap (which adjusts the tension of the main shoulder straps) as well as the little metal guide at the back of the chair.

Your problem may also be that the length-adjuster (thinner grey strap) is too tight. You can loosen it by pressing on the button located just in front of the main buckle and pulling on the shoulder straps. This is also how you tighten the shoulder straps - by pulling on the thinner grey strap.

Generally, the shoulder straps should come out around the childs shoulder level. Higher is ok. Lower is bad because it doesn't secure him in.

Missing Instruction Manual

https://plweb.evenflo.com/faq_detail.aspx?faqid=4407 the above link is for the manual but here are the instructions. If you have two plastic harness adjusters located on the back of your seat please follow the following steps: On the very bottom of your car seat locate two metal anchors one on each side of the seat, pull the metal anchors out of position and turn them sideways and feed them through to the front of the seat. Release the buckle tongues and chest clip and pull the harness straps to the back of the seat while pushing the chest clips, buckle tongues and harness anchors through to the back of the car seat. NOTE: You may find it easier by pulling down the seat pad when feeding the straps through. All pieces will fit through the harness slots. Choose the appropriate slots for the new harness position. Push the harness anchors, harness straps, buckle tongues and chest clips back through to the front of the seat. Once the straps are completely pulled back through to the front of the seat, make sure the straps are not twisted by clipping the chest clip together and buckling the buckle tongues, then feed the metal anchors through to the bottom of the seat and clip anchors back into place. ********************************************************************* If you have an adjustment strap that is located in between the child?s foot area that allows you to loosen and tighten the straps please follow the following steps: Loosen the harness straps by pressing the harness release button that is located between the child?s legs near the feet area; while pulling on the harness straps from the front of the car seat near the shoulder area. Turn the car seat around and from the back side of the seat follow the straps down to the metal splitter plate, remove the ends of both straps from the metal splitter plate. Once the straps are removed, pull both harness straps completely through to the front of the seat. Choose the appropriate slots for the new harness position and feed both straps through from the front of the seat to the back of the seat. Making sure straps are not twisted; hook each end of the straps back onto the metal splitter plate. Tighten the harness straps by pulling the adjustment strap located on the front the car seat between the child?s legs. Can't remove carseat cover

There is a trick to this. All the straps are kinda connected together. The main harness is one piece, a clever clip on each of the lap section. (one on each side) needs to be removed to allow the belt to slide through the seat and cover openings. Once here the strap needs to go through the actual seatbelt buckle. Once the buckles are off you can pull the harness through the shoulder opening. The note to take here is that the harness runs through a loop on the adjuster belt (a narrower belt that runs from the back of the chair under the it to and through the adjusting fastener) Once through the loop you can pull the main harness strap free from the chair. Now the next part, depress the release clip of the adjuster and with the other hand pull this belt free from adjuster. It may require a bit of two handed work as belt nears the end. You should now have a wide belt, a narrow belt, 2x clips and 2x harness buckles. All you need to do now is remove the adjuster which usually requires the manipulation of a metal 'B' buckle which is sewn into the loop to be twisted sideways to allow it to pass through the opening. You are home free now. The cover should be elasticated around the edging and easily removed for washing.(you can also put the straps in too) Now is also a good time to just give the actual seat a good clean too. Refitting is reversal of removal. However REMEMBER and NOTE the way clips, buckles and which openings the straps went through when removing. There are usually a couple. Mark the items with a marker if you think you'll forget. On refitting you might want to put it to the next one up. (as a child grows ie. the shoulder straps should be above the shoulders when the child is seated, equally important is they must be the same on both sides.) I think there might be a couple of slots for the adjuster strap. You might want to move that one out too. Have your child seated in the chair before you start the reassembly and mark out the openings the staps need to pass through which would be most comfortable for the him/her. Good Luck.
