Whats the model you have? sometimes it can be cheaper to replace if you have a shop near you or use EBay.

Could the hose on steamvac be saved

The hose for this model when torn can only be replaced. With a torn hose you will loose suction from your floor nozzle, and performance will be decreased.

My henry wont pick up any dirt and how do i change the filter ...

The filter on a Henry does not need changing (unless torn or
damaged). It simply neeeds cleaning, either by vacuuming with
another machines or brushing clean. For maximum suction, air
must be able to flow through it. Next, change the bag. Finally
remove hoses and pipes etc and switch on, the suction that you can feel by putting your hand against his "nose", is the same suction that you should feel when pipes are back on.

If it is not, then you will have a blockage, usually in the flexi hose, but drop a coin through in order to establish where.

Part of the hose is torn. Do I have to replace the whole hose or can it be repaired ?

Which hose is torn? The hose underneath or the hose with the extension wand in the handle?

Where I work we can sometimes repair the wand hose, and the little hose undernath is usually a cheap costing replacement.

Loss of suction when using upright. Suction remains for samll tools

I checked all the pipes and seals. There is a flexible pipe which you can see underneath that connects the front rotating brush assembly to the vacuum system. This pipe can crack and loss of suction occurs when using it upright. The pipe can be repaired temporarily with strong fabric sticky backed tape (e.g. carpet seal tape). A new pipe can be fitted with a few tools.

I replaced a torn belt and now cannot get brush back in place

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
It’s probably a good idea to slide the belt on 1st and then install the brushroll and there is a tool out there that is like a screwdriver with the left or right hand bend to the blade that you can use as a belt puller and then stretch the belt from the brushroll to the motor pulley. That would work better and the brushroll would be easier to install. Please check your owner’s manual or next time let us know what the name brand and model # the vacuum is. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Won't suck up water from floor

1. Check all the tubes from the nozzle to the collection tank and make sure they are not clogged up. I've had tht happen pretty bad before. 2. Check the squeegee. If it is damaged or torn, replace it.
