Hi,
The nest thing to try is the gas valve coils...failure of them is much less common, but does happen...

LG DYER MODEL DLG5966W RUNS BUT DOES NOT HEAT, TOOK THE IGNITER IN TO PARTS STORE THEY CHECKED THE CONDUCTIVITY WITH A METER AND SAID THE IGNITER IS FINE? WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

Continuity is great but did they perform an ampere test on the ignitor while the ignitor was hooked up inside the unit? An ignitor typically draws between 3 and 3.3 amperes any less then this would constitute a weak ignitor and the ignitor should be replaced if it is weak because it takes much longer to ignite the gas inside a dryer. An ignitor would always show conductivity except if the element were broken. So to start with wrong test was performed. Secondly there are also run thermistors and hi and low limit thermistors that act as relays that can also be checked in dryers by performing continuity tests on these thermistors click this link http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/K0810208-00003.png this is one of the schematics to your dryer k 550 is a thermistor and k 560 is a thermostat both should be tested as mentioned above. M 110 is the gas vavle which on other units the coil is replaceable but is only sold along with the valve on an LG which also has to be tested that power is going to the solenoid on top of the valve and that it is going to the ignitor. If you have any further questions message me back. I await your reply as to any further questions as well as your finds as well. Thanks again

I replaced the igniter and thermal fuse and dryer

The thermal fuse should only be replaced if the dryer will not start
If it starts the thermal fuse is good.
If you touched the ignitor with your fingers it may have blown out.
Open the dryer and check for voltage to the ignitor through the ignitor wires while the dryer is on.
If you have no voltage check the hi-limit thermostat for continuity as well as the operating thermostat.
Check the flame sensor for continuity while it is cold.
If you have power to the ignitor place a clamp on amp meter on one ignitor wire and turn the dryer on.
If you read 3 amps or less the ignitor is bad.
If it reads the amps or more the gas valve coils are bad.

Dryer igniter does not ignite?i have replaced the igniter.

also check the sensor if ignitor isn't glowing, get a meter and read the parts out instead of just changing them out, check the sensor, ignitor and gas coils,on some models the thermal fuse could be bad,is there power going to ignitor?you can't tell until you read em out with a meter, and alot cheaper, hope this helps

Maytag gas dryer runs but does not heat

If yo smelled gas then the ignitor may not be working.
First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it)  It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off.  If the ignitor does not glow then the thermostat is bad.  If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the gas valve coils may have to be replaced.   If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Our Maytag gas dryer will not heat up.

check if there is voltage across the igniter. if there's no voltage, trace the diagram and you might stumble on a thermal fuse that is busted.also, check the gas solenoid. the ignitor could be heating up but if you dont have gas then there will be no ignition...
