Why to upgrade?, usually we do not upgrade bios laptops unless you replaced some internal part that is not compatible with the product.

Upgrading a bios on any computer is a VERY dangerous thing to do and it may literary kill the computer's mainboard.

Neverdeless, LG does not have upgrade bios soft. on their site,

I would advice against updateing a laptop bios. But you can get the bios from the same place you get drivers for your laptop.

I don't have audio and can't install the driver

Make sure that audio is enabled in the BIOS. Check to see if it displayed in the device manager and that it is enabled, as this will prevent you from installing the driver. It is also possible that the device is defective and you will need to replace it. I hope this helped. Good luck and have a fantastic day.

Upgrade phoenix bios 4.0

Go to the website of the company who makes your laptop or desktop. The majority of these sites have a portion of their site they devote to updates. Look in this section to locate your BIOS updates. When you find the file you need, download the BIOS to your computer's hard drive.
Go to Biosman to download and install the Phoenix BIOS flash utility software. This software allows you to read the data your BIOS file contains.
Flash your BIOS via USB storage device. Copy your update to the USB drive. Then, modify the boot order of your laptop or desktop to begin with your USB drive. Push "F2" or whichever key prompts you to enter your BIOS when you reboot your system.
Double-click the BIOS file you just downloaded to run the upgrade procedure.
Good Luck

Cant find where to get wireless internet on my pcv-w1

Not all laptop computers have built-in wireless capability,
but all the newest ones do.

You may need to purchase either a PCMCIA or a USB wireless-adapter, and insert the adapter into the appropriate slot, to add wireless capability.

As I can see at acer's site (here is the exact link) there is a new bios update (date 2010/02/01) for your laptop. I suppose that your laptop has a previous version (you can check your bios' version during the booting of the laptop, but since the details are at the very first lines and usually a manufacture logo is visible covering the details, it's not so easy to see the bios version). Since the laptop is new and the bios update is a risky business sometimes, a suggest you to download the bios update file and go to the shop you bought the laptop and ask from the technician to update it.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Thanks and regards

Some computers have an intermitant boot issue, and it can be solved with a BIOS update which you have to download from the manufacterer of the pc.

I have a LG E500 laptop. For some reason after about 30min with the internet on, it drops the internet connection. It says its still connected but i cant use the internet.

Please restart the Laptop and connect again. It solves your problem. And check for any Connection out time on Internet Settings.

Dell 1501 Laptop. Have a 2 inch vertical bar that is almost in the center of the laptop screen. This doesn't show up with a external monitor. Have updated bios and video driver and nothing seems to fix...

Unfortunately this usually is an LCD screen or cable problem and could just be coincidence. You CAN revert to a previous BIOS version, but I am not aware of a way to get one.

Cooling fan on my Phillips laptop works intermitently

This is a serious problem that can harm your laptop if you don't resolve it. Sometimes, a BIOS update can solve fan issues. Go to the manufacturer's website and search for your computer's model number, to see if they have a BIOS update in their support section.

Most likely though, you'll need to have physical work done. If the BIOS update doesn't help, take it to a nearby computer shop to have it looked at.
