Question about Logitech Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a Logitec IPOD travel docking station but the unit will no longer recognise the IPOD and will not charge it or play music. It appears that the connector on the Logitec unit may damaged. Can you advise on a suitable repair provider close to CM18 (Harlow in Essex)? Many thanks

Don't know about docking stations but here's a couple of ideas for you to consider:
1-Is there a way to 'reboot' or 'defrag' or 'restore' a docking station?
2-Did you try to 'wiggle' the IPOD connection to see if there is a better contact position? My Nextar headphone jack has to be pushed up and held in place by a rubberband to make "full" connection so I can hear in Both ears. Maybe the 'pins' aren't contacting properly.

Wet IPod touch docking station

Turn your iPod off as quickly as possible after it becomes wet. The longer your device is on after it gets wet, the more likely it is to suffer severe or irreparable damage. Do not turn it on to see if it works; running power through the device can cause more damage.

Quite suddenly it doesn't play. The ipod registers that it's charging, and I've checked the remote control on another Bose system I have and it seems to be ok.

I just had the same problem with mine - turns out the Bose docking stations are comlete and utter **** and if yours keeps working you're one of the lucky few. Mine only had sparodic use over a 3 month period and it stopped producing sound the other day. I took it to a repair shop and they've seen a lot of them with the same problem. The solution - dump it in the bin and get a logitec set of speakers & you'll have better sound. This was proven by attaching the iPod to each system.

I have a new ipod nano but when i put on to docking speakers it says it does not support charging

Your iPod is newer than the dock and I'm not sure why Apple does this, other than to sell more hardware, but your iPod is not compatible with your dock, so it will not allow charging. You can probably still us it for playing music, just not for charging. Sorry

I pod charges, plays, but no sound

Easy, I had this problem too. The reason it isn't playing is because its not in all the way. I was getting very frustrated with this, so I kept trying to push it onto the dock to get it all the way down.
Solution:
1. Play a song on your ipod/iphone so you can hear it through the device.
2. Connect your ipod/iphone to the docking station(Bose) so that you hear the chime(This lets you know its charging).
3. Pick up the docking station and firmly press the ipod/iphone down on the connector.
4. Keep pressing it and wiggling around until you hear the music begin to play through the docking station.
It may take a few tries, but you will get it.
Hope this helped!

Bose Sound Dock remote control - only volume works

My remote worked perfectly until I changed the battery. The original battery was CL 2032 and I replaced it with DL 2032. After replacing the battery, only the volume control works. The off button will only fade the sound while the button is depressed. Release the button, and the volume returns to the original level and the unit remains On.
None of the other buttons work.
If you've found a solution, please post it here.

My Ipod touch won't charge, it plays music

I bought this Charge Converter from CableJive. It allows me to charge my iPhone 3g on many accessories that would not normally charge the newer models and has successfully fixed the issue with my H+K Dock. I definitely recommend checking them out.
