How do you remove a rubber oar sleeve to replace a broken oar lock ring. It's on very tight and won't budge

The first ring is pos 88 remove but wait ,! first solvent clean the whole head and the fitting part of the chisel try first before take any operation on the chisel to shift the rubber gasket on the bit with a little screwdriver if its cleanwet before all and then remove pos 88 a locking ring then look good on the parts order of your right powertool diagram setting of your hammer.
If its cleaned and the parts are removed from the

The oil cap is on so tight, I can not remove it to add oil. I tried pushing down on it, as I tried to turn, but it won't budge. Any suggestions?

Use a large pair of channel lock pliers to remove the cap. Once removed apply a bit of grease to the rubber oil ring on the cap before reinstalling

  • Then first remove pos 21 if chisel is locked move the tool holder backwards as far as possible you see the rubber cap pos 21 can be released with a plier or little screwdriver then after that snapring pos 143 to remove with a shaft retaining ring pliers as little set it between the small groove between the two ends of the ring thats on the metal ring its on pos 31 a rubber ring beware PARTS pos 25 blocking elements 2 pieces are in most cases 1 or 2 are broken thats why its not release the chisel in most cases. , beware if this tool has had its working hours , its the best thing to sevice it a 1 617 000 430 a consumables kit and 1 615 437 511 a oil reservoir are not expensive and all the neccesary parts are to in this kit andits made repair more meaningful because carbon brushes and al neccesary o rings are in the kit. also the blocking elements and more . its much cheaper then the parts separate.

Stuck pfister faucet sleeve

  2. Thanks to Danny Paccho I purchased a wrench to use in removing the sleeve from Geers Plumbing

  3. Then , removed the \'87 Price Pfister faucet housing from the basin by disconnecting the 2 pipes under the basin and removing the top basin nut; inserted the wrench into the top, turning counter-clockwise until it locked (er tightened a bit) and hammered it out ,gently?, to not damage the escutcheon threads , or the basin nut.

Should have o-rings remove those and lowe's,hardware,home improvement,plumbing supply stores should have what you need.Be sure to use plumbers grease or Vaseline on new o-ring and inside spout to keep from tearing new o-rings.

My 400mm lens is so hard to slide out when I go to zoom what do I do

turn the 'lock/friction ring' (metal band just below the black rubber focusing ring) counter clockwise whilst holding the focusing 'ring' still. The friction/lock ring is used to prevent 'lens creep' when carrying the camera with lens pointing down, or using the lens when it is pointing down. Juust turn it until it applies the level of friction you prefer for operating the lens. If you have already tried this and it won't budge it may be the bearings are shot and you will need to contact a canon service centre for repair.

My Porter Cable FN250A only shoots nails sporadically. When I lift up the nose piece, it appears that the "hammer" is not fully retracting.

Piston not retracting is caused by several issues. Bent or broken driver, worn piston oring or loose or broken check seal. Remove head and examine driver for bent or broken, adjust as needed. Check that piston oring fits snug, piston should not drop down cylinder under its own weight. Pull cylinder from body and check that black band (check seal) is in place around holes in cylinder. Need assembly instruction for gaggia titanium steam wand. doesnt seem to go far enough up the tube after i cleaned it

Slide the large sleeve off, now you have just the shorter plastic nozzle with the rounded cap. Unscrew that cap - hold the plastic nozzle with one hand while twisting the cap to unscrew it.
Inside is a hard plastic ring and a soft rubber sleeve. Sometimes the soft rubber sleeve will not come out of the nozzle - if so then just leave it in - but if it will come out, take it out and clean everything really well.
OK ... now put the cap on the steam pipe, then the hard plastic ring, then the rubber sleeve - and slide them up high enough on the pipe - then slide on the nozzle last. Then tighten the cap down on the nozzle until it is gripping good and tight. Then slide the long outer sleeve and you should be good to go.

Just open the front door of the unit and remove the rubber sleeve from the front cover you will find the iron ring just remove it first then you can easily remove the rubber sleeve and then you will see the two screws which holds the door lock switch just remove it and hold the door lock switch with the hand and see the wire connection properly when you are refixing it the door lock will work properly

I have a 1995 Mercedes c220 the vibration damper is noisey. can I just replace the top bush or do I have to replace the whole thing

Not a Mercedes experts, only advising from many other models of vehicles I have worked on, through the years.

Generally harmonic balancers are two piece affairs. An inner circle of metal with an outer thick metal ring, and a rubber sleeve in-between them.

When the two parts are put together with the sleeve in-between, TONS of pressure are used to do this. Best solution here would be to buy a new harmonic balancer.

Have you checked the bottom pulley to see if it is/was tight? Is it bent? Is there a bolt that goes through the middle of the balancer to the crankshaft nose? Is it tight?

Not to alarm, but I have seen rare instances where the crankshaft nose was bent. I have also seen instances where it is broken, away from the rest of the crankshaft.
