Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I bought a hp 6000 series laptop i think its a 6480 or 6420, any way the battery is no longer working, the laptop only works when i have it plugged in, i just bought this thing in like august or september, is this common that the battery only lasts like 6 mos. whats the warranty length on the battery? is this covered? should i bring it in to u guys or mail it to hp? oh yea ps im currently stationed in kuwait, hope to be home in a month. thanx
Probably the extreme heat and dryness out there drained it out, and or not being able to recharge it to full capacity. Did you charge it the recommended hours to charge when first used as stated in the manual the battery?. If you have access to a freezer put the battery in a ziploc bag seal and leave in the freezer overnight then take out and charge your battery overnight it might come back to life and hold it's charge once again.
