Repair will not help you to fix the issue..
What you need to do is.. Try getting into safe mode by tapping F12 when the system turns on... Try doing a system restore from there so that you dont loose any data.. If that is not possible,...
If you have windows vista on the computer then tap F8 when the computer turns on and then you will be able to see the advanced boot options.. Select repair my computer.. In the repair my computer screen select the dell factory image restore..
Your computer will go through the installation and it will be up and running...
If you have windows Xp then you have to turn on the computer and when the dell logo appears you have to simultaneously press control and the F11key.. You will be able to reinstall the OS in this way..

DELL 1525 laptop boot issue. When switching ON it shows only blank screen. Grateful if you could help resolve this issue

Have you got an external screen you can plug in to prove the video? Try this check list:

Dead Laptop.

Try firstly removing the laptop's battery as it may be at a critical voltage and the system will not start because of it. Plug in your ac adaptor and monitor what happens. Does the power light illuminate? If it does it should then boot up, if it doesn't, try a known good ac adaptor before going any further.
If the adaptor is fine then you have a mother board fault and should contact a dealer/repairer for further advice.
Hope this helps.

My Dell Inspiron 1525 wont load up

I'd suggest first removing your memory modules and reinsert one at a time.

But, I think your operating system is compromised, due to Spyware, etc.

Since your system won't boot in Safe Mode, your only other option is to repair or reinstall your operating system.

Hope this helps.

Adminstrator password problem

If this is a white and grey screen, before windows starts, it's a system board password. To clear this you will need to contact dell, have your service tag and express code ready, and if you haven't already, you will need to register ownership with Dell. I posted a link at the bottom for phone numbers of Dell's support. Dell is great in the fact that they have a master code for each of their machines.

However, if this is a windows password, which I don't believe it is, you will need to start windows in safe mode by pressing F8 at start up. Then log in under administrator and clear passwords in each user account.

Here's the link, the phone numbers are about half way down the page. You'll just need to give them a call, it won't take very long, I've done it a several times with Dell machines I've purchased at auctions.
