Question about NetGear RangeMax Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter (WNDA3100-100NAS)

1 Answer

For the past couple of days now, my wireless internet connection has been having some problems. The concern is i've been getting the message "connection has limited or no connectivity" I can get it to recognize my router from At&t, and i install the wep key to get the green box indicating that it's got a signal, yet the internet still does NOT connect. Further diagnosis reveals, "the network did not assign a network address to the computer" whatever the heck this means. Never had this concern before, hopefully it's something simple, the adapter has been working with no concerns for over 3 months till now.

I have exactly the same problem. The problem belongs to my laptop. It behaves in this way with all available networks independent of their strength...

Network Driver Issue/Internet Connection issue

you can try a couple of things, on the back of the router is a small reset button, you will need a pen or pencil to push this button, hold it in for 10 sec. or so, until the router resets, and try to connect then, or unplug router, leave off for 10-15 sec. plug back in and wait fir it to reset this way, or a more involved way is to go to your DOS or command prompt window, type in this as follows

ipconfig /release

(wait a few seconds for this to do its thing)

ipconfig /renew
(if this doesnt work ask your parents if they put a block on the router)

Connection Interrupted

Well, the issue you are experiencing could be caused by slow internet. Even if you have a connection - it may be a slow one that can't keep up with the server. Another reason that this could be happening is the server itself is lagging, but if it happens to you consistantly I would put bets on it being your internet.

WLAN USB Adapter Working; WLAN Wireless Router Not Working

The router could be crapping out on you. Hit the reset button and see if that solves the problem. If that don't work uninstall then reinstall the system. If the problem remains contact your internet provider to see if it is on their end. If all else fails buy a new wireless system!

Try reconfiguring the Linksys router. Click on this link for instructions on how to configure the router with a cable Internet connection.
http://www3.nohold.net/noHoldCust56/Prod_6/KnowledgePortal/KPScripts/amsviewer.asp?docid=4da24a60bfc84fe9ad65ce672b4b8b52_KB3686_EN_070208_v1.xml&amsstatsid=4067617

After configuring the router and if you already have an Internet connection, then connect your second computer to any numbered port of the router (port 1,2,3, or 4) and test the Internet connection.
Configure the wireless settings of the router by following the steps on this link.

If you want to have a wireless security for your network, you may clck on this link for instructions.

Then try connecting your wireless computer to the name of your wireless network and enter the security key (if you have created one).
