If your not getting heat check your breaker box first. Then you will need a multimeter. Your element needs to be about 10 to 12 ohms. Your thermal cutoffs should be infinite(0). set your knob on Rx1 on yor meter. This is without power to your dryer.Good luck

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Your heating element is difficult to get at.

This heating element is rated at 5500 watts.
This Dryer Heating Element part #3387747
Cost: $59.00

It is located in side the housing.

You may just be plugged up with lint in your hot air distribution manifold.

Or have a bad high temperature limit switch located on the back on your hot air exhaust manifold.

How can i find out why my frigadaire dryer fqe7000lwo won't heat up and all the lights turn on

if you can somehow hold the door open and press the part that the door usually goes to to tell the door that it is closed...you can then press dryer on while open and see if the element heats up...if you see no red or feel no heat it could be bad element or bad fuseable lik to element...you can either try this yourself or call appliance guy...good luck

My dryer whirlpool still blow cool air but do not heat please tell me what the problem henry le

Bad heating element or bad thermo fuse.
You will have to unplug the dryer and remove the back to access the heating element. The thermo fuse is located on the side of the heating element.
If you don't have a meter to test the element and thermo fuse or just don't know how simply remove them from the dryer and take them to your local appliance repair shop and they can test them for you.

IDW 450 belling dishwasher wont heat up water

Hi, make sure you settings on the timer are working correctly first and if they are it sounds as if though the heating element may be bad or have a loose connection.
Check the heating element by the connections underneath where they plug in at and if they are plugged in if you have the knowledge you can check to see if they are getting voltage. If they are then do an ohm test across the heating element and that will tell you if the element is bad or not.
Elements are not that hard to replace and you must have the mode and serial number for the unit to order one

Will not heat

the element can be bad or one of the thermostats has opened. one thurmo in area near element. one in vent area where the moist air leaves the dryer. or a burned wire or terminal. inspect the system well. Please unplug the dryer 220 volts will kill..

try to dry in the auto cycle. and or manual cycle? this will tell you if it could be the element.
if it heats in either its not the element bad..

My asko dishwasher is putting a horrible film on everything including the inside of the washer

Hi,

Usually that condition is a result of the heating element either going bad or not working because the control is not activating it....

Open the dishwasher when it is most of the way through a cycle and check the water temperature... it should be at least 140F

If it is not then check for power at the element... that will tell you if the element is bad or if the control is bad...

Whirlpool Cabrio - How do I tell if my heating

If you are comfortable useing a volt meter and a ohm meter I can walk you throught the steps otherwise you need to call a repairman, If you are not getting any heat and the tumbler is turning it is possible the element is bad again only a test meter can tell for sure or you can take the dryer apart and look at the element to see if it is broken make sure the power is turned off at the breaker first also unplug the dryer.
