I just had the KNA-DV4100 nav unit installed over the weekend. There's
one thing that I just cannot figure out so I'm hoping someone can help.
The buttons that allow guidance are all "greyed out". I can select the
screen configuration button, but I can only choose between single and
double screen. I can't choose any of the other buttons. I can hit the
microphone button and give voice commands. It even says "voice
guidance on", but no turn arrow display, current road name, etc.
Any idea what I have to do to make those options available so I can get
voice guidance?
Thanks
I just wonder how many more hidden screens are in this unit.

You can either take it back to the installer and have him/her check it to
see what is or is not happening, or if your close to Miami, Fl I can do the
same.

didn't ask him too, but he did it anyway. Should I ask him about the
speed pulse wire?
Thanks for your help!
Greg.

I assume you did check when your parking brake is on...
If you get the functions when the parking brake is on, I can tell you how to
fix the problem easily.
If it is your speedpulse wire, you might want to bring it back and complain

I don;t seem to get the Turn-by-Turn Guidance to work. I entered my
destination address and calculated the route. Everytime, I click
"start", I get "the guidance will start when you enter the
hightlighted route".. I am already on the hightlighted route but it
doesn't seem to recognize it.
THe installer hooked up the Speed Sensor correctly coz i can see that
I am moving along the route and also get the correct speed read out.
What am I missing? Can anyone help?
