Question about RIM BlackBerry 8700c Cellular Phone
I plugged my phone in to
charge and the screen lit up and turned blank. It will only switch off
when the battery is removed. But when you switch it on it goes straight
to the lit up empty screen again and can do nothing.
The following is for the 8000 series Blackberry. This is also providing that your Blackberry does not have a hardware failure:
Some number of months ago, there was a software bullet sent by RIM, via many of the mobile providers to all the 8000 series Blackberries. This was to correct a critical security issue, and some problems with time zones. There were some issues that some of them lost the ability to properly re-start after the update.
The fix is to download the newest Blackberry operating system software and install it. You must get the release that is complient to your provider for some service providers.
To install the updated operating system you can do this with the backup and installation software that is for the Blackberry using the USB cable. DO NOT use Bluetooth to install the new operating system. This will cause a disconnect during the process, and thus it will scrap the Blackberry!
