Question about Seagate 160GB 3.5" External USB Drive 160 GB Hard Drive
Its not uncommon for the drive to need to be assigned a drive letter. that's why the above reply may work out of hand, becuase when you install the seagate drivers, the installer routine will perform the drive letter assignment as well.
heres how to do it yourself. no drivers necessary.
on your desktop, right click the computer icon and select managment.
go to disk managment and look for your drive.
right click the drive and assign it a drive letter. ( i use z)
open my computer and there is your z: drive.

Your Vista needs drivers for the drive. Vista is very bad in this type of needs.
