Question about PC Desktops
Is it a usb mouse?
1) USB legacy may be disabled in the bios, enter bios menu (usualy by pressing DEL or F1 or F2 on computer start) and look for the words USB and see if it disabled, if it is, change to enable and exit with save.
2) the USB socket port may be damaged, change port.
3) the power supply on your computer may be to small or you have a lot of usb peripherials connected.
4) try to use a usb to ps/2 converter
