How do I sight the telescope

The "finder-scope" as they are called can be lined up by putting a low-power eyepiece in the scope, and moving the scope (on its mount) to view a distant object such as a streetlight. An EP which gives you about the same magnification as the finder-scope is a good choice. They are mostly about x8 power.

Centre the object in the eyepiece view and then adjust the finder-scope until the object is centred in that view as well.

Repeat this with a higher power EP, then move the scope onto a bright star, and use the highest magnification EP you have to finally do the last tiny adjustment to the finder-scope.

Epox ep-8npa sli user manual barcode label says 5a 000901821. d33221 is also stamped on board

I don't have access to a motherboard manual, (User Manual), for the Epox EP-8NPA SLI motherboard, Wayne. Sorry.
The only info I have is the basic info on the Specifications,

If this problem is in direct relation to the Front Panel header on the motherboard, it shouldn't be too hard for you to find the Power On switch connections.

(Plastic front of computer is the Front Panel.
Area of pins on the motherboard, that the wires from the Front Panel connect to, is the Front Panel header. { FP_1 )

Processor to the top, Ram Memory to the right, and the long white PCI slots to the bottom; the Front Panel header is the long black rectangular block of pins, at the very bottom right.

Pins go across the Top row, and across the Bottom row, of this rectangular block of pins.
Connections made will be from a pin on the top row, to a pin on the bottom row.

It only takes two contact pins for the Power On switch.
(The Power On switch is an ATX power on switch. It is located inside the plastic Power On button assembly.
Here is a basic example of an ATX power on switch, )

Touch two pins (One top row, one bottom row), with an LED light.
Take the two wires of the LED light, and use them to touch the two contact pins.

Contact made is no longer than 2 seconds.

If you find the right two contact pins, the Power Supply should turn on.
If not, no harm, no foul.

For example, you have touched the two pins for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
Or pins for the Power On LED light.
You won't hurt anything using a small LED light for a jumper.

Once you find which contact pins turn the Power Supply on, therefore turning the computer on, you can experiment, and see what the other pins are for.

A) Power On LED light
B) HarDDrive activity LED light. and so on.

{ IF, the Power Supply does Not turn on, you have a bad Power Supply}

If this is not the problem simply state so in a Comment. We'll go on to see if we can find the solution.

My ep-8khal motherboard wont turn on!

first turn off your pc, open the right side panel of your pc and locate the memory card. after locating, pull it out and clean it with a pencil eraser, if you have separate motherboard, clean it also. and then turn your computer on, if the problem goes again, the faulty part might be your computer memory or the separate video card, if you have one.

Note: if you cant' do one of these tips.just have your computer repair by a professional comp. technician.

Good luck!

EP-8d5a3+ Wont startup - LED code 02 - Cant find manual to download

Chances are your cmos is corrupted, you can try this..

1.) Find the Jcmos or Jp1 or JBAT jumper located on the board. Its a 3 pin jumper currently set to 1 and 2,,, set it to 2 and 4 wait a few then set it back to 1 and 2.

If you cant find the jumper or that fails then

  1. Locate the battery on the main board
  2. unplug the system then remove the battery
  3. press and hold the power button for 3 seconds
  4. release
  5. replace the battery
  6. pulg in the system and turn it on, it should boot
  7. load the optimised defaults by entering setup , follow the on screen instructions to do this
  8. thats it your done.
If that fails then the expoxys site will be up shortly.

i hope it works good luck
