Question about Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick

Open Question

Logitech gaming software does not detect logitech gaming device, that is Logitech Extreme 3D pro. when the gaming software is loaded at the start up. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. The gaming software version is Logitech gaming program v 5.09

Also dont' I meant NO, Do NOT install the software that came with the joystick, it lure a lot problems on calibating and others.
use the game control panel on windows instead.

this worked for me, i have a ibookg4 and all all my dad had to do (complete nerd) had to do was REBOOT THE COMPUTER WITH THE JOYSTICK PLUGGED IN and the joystick worked after that.  Posted by his dumb as a post sun...

Well you can try download lgs501.exe and run it. This scans on Logitech drivers on your system and can even update them.
( Not checked though, cause I am running on Vista )

I have a logitech extreme 3D pro joystick and i have a logitech formula force ex steering wheel and i cant get the two to work together

Indeed you cannot, the LGS ( Logitech Gaming Software ) is not able to support 2 different devices at the sametime, software restrictions !

Actually this devices functions as HID on mac OSX so you do not need to install any software/drivers.

How to install on Mac


Logitech does not provide any gaming software for the Mac platform. However, Logitech gaming devices are supported natively in Mac OSX. This means you can still use your Logitech gaming device, provided that the game you are playing supports a gamepad, joystick, etc.
If you are using a gamepad, and you'd like more programmability, you can use third party software such as Gamepad Companion. Keep in mind that this is third party software and you should contact the manufacturer of the software should you have any issues or questions about using the software.
