Question about Proview PL926WBi 19" LCD Monitor

PL926Wbi My PL926Wbi 19" LCD works for about 20 minutes then goes black. Power light stays blue, when I turn it off and back on it works for just a few seconds then flickers a bit and goes black again. I have read some of the other forums about looking for bulged or leay caps, but have found none on either the power board or vga board. I had disconnected for about a month when I hooked it back up to test it, it worked for like 4 hours and then went black and continues to do the same thing listed above. Could it still be a bad cap or sohuld I be looking for a board? If I need a board does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for one?

Mine ended up being the backlights were going bad and causing the inverter to shutdown. Check the backlights to see if there is any signs of burning or breakage in the lights.

Im having the same issue. from cold start after sitting, it will work for a while, flicker, then turn itself off. /// after reading up, i was sure it had to be the capacitors // looked in there.. seen where osme of the capacitors got hot, and discoloration on the inverter board // replaced literally 10 capacitors on the baord // same problem, still there // I contacted some nice people at proview, not a single one spoke good english, and are all chinese // got the price on the interter board, they want 60 dollars + shipping and handling to send you a new board, probably wont get out of it for less than 85 bucks for a new interter board // I spent 16 bucks on the repair (that failed), im sure its the power interter board, and am sick of the monitor // selling entire monitor minus the broken power board for $20 on e-bay more than likely. for reference, they lady will have you read the power boards model number strait off the board, and ask if you are a technician. they dont mind selling the boards apparently, cause they are a garbage company to begin with.

good one all, its not an answer, but its something.

Screen goes black but power light stays on

Hello. I had the same problem with my X2gen 19" (model MW19R)monitor. In my case, the monitor would turn off after 20 seconds or so but the blue power light would stay on as well. I had to replace a high voltage capacitor located in the backlight power supply board. There are 4 blue capacitors on the board which are identical and they are marked as 27J 3KV. Fortunately, I only had to replace one of these capacitors ( it was turning a yellowish brownish color ). Hope this helps.

Beautiful screen, lasts about for a few minutes, goes black. Power button still green. If I turn it off, and then back on, it works again for a while. Any ideas?
