How can i clean my printer ? difficult to read all the lines.. tops of some of the lettering is gone or cannot read? some of the lines r clear and then the next lines r faded or letting is not dark enough to read

Printing half a page with an Inkjet machine is not normally a computer issue. So windows 10 would not normally have any effect on the printing for a printer that has been accepted by the Windows 10 Operating System. If there was an issue in the software it would be printing gibberish or not printing at all.

Printing half a page is quite possably something stuck in the printer stopping the ink from getting to that half a page if it is printing down once side but not the other.
Printing half a page being that the top half is printed but not the bottom half (Or the other way around) it could be an air bubble in the feed line which can be cleared with a printhead clean or two.
Printing half a line rather than a full line such as the top half of each letter is clear but the bottom half of each letter is not visable is a blocked printhead. A couple of printhead cleans can also fix this.
Also check to see if the printer is not confused and actually has empty cartridges even if the printer thinks they are full. Brother printers can easily get confused about ink levels. If the cartridges are actually empty, replace them and away it should go again.

try a print head cleaning, then try a test page you may have to do this more than once the test should come out better each time

1. Shake ink cartriage and Re-clean the print head, dripping alcohol to drain off and wipe clean w/tissue (do not touch with fingers).
2. Apply slight suction to print head to clear clogged ink (if by mouth, spit out ink and water rinse etc.).
3. Re-clean per step 1
4. Insert ink cartiriage, seating it all the way into holder.
5. Run a "cleaner sheet" through printer to clean al printing parts
("cleaner sheets" are available at office supply stores).
6. Printer should print all parts of letters.

Did you try clearing your remaining jobs? Fax, menu, arrow down to #2 (fax), menu, arrow down to #6 (remaing jobs)....

This usually indicates a need for a new print cartridge or the printer head is dirty. You can run the automatic printer cleaning utilities. Note: do them several times.
Also, if you are a little handy, use Qtips and rubbing alcohol and clean the print head.

You need to check your printers nozzles. Should find it under Properties of the printer and then you can select clean nozzles where you printer will clean the nozzles. Also do a Head alignement.

try a letter with brown letters to see if it is the black ink cartridge Refilled cartridges do that from time to time

Use a q-tip dipped in alcohol to clean the printhead.
