Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
I have an iphone jail broken using ziphone3.0. I can detect my network, all the phone functions works even though sending and receiving text messages. I can receive calls. But however I cannot make calls. Once I click on CALL, it will immediately show Calls Ended, Calls Failed. Even thought I click CALL AGAIN, it is still the same. Any idea how to fix this? Please advice. Thanks.`1`12weeeeeeeeeeee1
I had something similar where my iphone just freezes and goes back to home 3 seconds after i go to the phone part of the iphone. I just went to settings>RiP Dev (something I downloaded after jailbreaking)>RiP Dev Products > Kate and there Look for a checked application called facelift. I unchecked it and my calling worked again. It was cause Facelift is not compadable with Winter Board (another app dled from installer) If this doesnt solve the problem then... sorry :x

Check your Settings > Phone > Show my Caller ID > it should be ON

Long long procedures man...
Heres just a few second procedure.Open up Cydia, in the search, type, "downgrade baseband". It'll give 3 options, 2 having fuzzyband in the text and one having ultrasnow, I REMEMBER, in the text. Simply click the ultrasnow, let it install. Your phone will reboot and you'll be able to make n receive calls... :) CHEERS.

You first install "bsd subsystem" found in installer. This could take a few minutes. Then, u install any patch that fixes dial crashes which is also found in installer. Some are version dependent so, choose one that corresponds with your version. e.g for a version 1.1.2, you could use 'appsupport patch (1.1.2)'

Restore Cell Signal
You will need these files/program:
1. Ziphone 3.0 program
2. Ziphone Firmware Files 1.1.2, AND 1.1.4. To get these files open Ziphone 3.0 then Click Help and Support, then middle box on top of page Web Links Firmware Files 1.1.2 and 1.1.4 (to make it easier to find I always save everything to the desktop)
3. Kiphone http://www.iclarified.com/entry/comments.php?page=1&enid=1536#commentsanchor
Not sure if all these steps are needed for success, I am just putting it all down becuase this is exactly what I did to get my cell signal back.
First, I uninstalled itunes 7.7.
Then I downloaded and installed itunes 7.5. At this point you will have to rename your itunes libray folder. Instructions are here: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1504
Next I downgraded the iphone to 1.1.2 using the link above.
Connect phone to computer
Open Ziphone 3.0
Click on Prepare for Upgrade (this will put iphone into DFU mode)
Now you have to restore using itunes 7.5 (which will open up as soon as the iphone goes into DFU mode.)
In itunes hold down SHIFT key (FOR WINDOWS) while pressing RESTORE. This will allow you to browse for the firmware file 1.1.2 you previously downloaded. Click on the 1.1.2 restore file and hit OPEN. This will begin the restoring process.
You will probably get an error code noting the restore wasn't successful. Ignore this unless the error code number is in the 1600's.
After this I tried to jailbreak my iphone using Ziphone 3.0 but wasn't successful so I:
Repeated the restore process but his time restoring to 1.1.4. Got the same error saying that restore wasn't successful, which I ignored.
Then I closed itunes, went into Ziphone 3.0 (iphone still connected to computer) and clicked on Do it all!
Jailbreak worked fine except I still had no cell signal.
To fix this I went to:
Iclarified, (the BEST iphone website *******!!) Got Kiphone patch (see Number 3 above) installed it and got my cell service back.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
