Just start-over -- the Installer automatically "writes-over" any previous attempt.

There are a variety of problems when installing Adobe Acrobat, try using this troubleshooting guide, hopefully it will elimate your problem. First, make sure you computer can handle the program..the minimum requirements are as followed..
* Intel Pentium-class processor * Windows XP Professional or Home Edition with SP1 or SP2, or Tablet PC Edition; Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 (SP2) * 128 MB of RAM * 90 MB of available hard-disk space for the full version * 800 x 600 monitor resolution * Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
And for the Adobe Reader 6.0: * Pentium-class processor * Windows XP Professional, Home, or Tablet PC Edition; Windows Me; Windows 2000 Professional SP2; Windows NT Workstation 4.0 SP6;

If you have tried another monitor and result is the same, then it's a faulty graphics card.
If graphics card is sharing system memory, then you might need to replace ram to get it work again.

SMART failure predicted on hard disk 0:

There is a big problem with newer conponents and Win XP versions prior to SP2. Especially with newer motherboards.

You have to make a bootable SP2 disk if you don't already have one. To do this use the slipstream proceedure specified on the Ms website. Many other websites describe the process with easier language.

Slipstreaming is a common practice now. Essentially, you copy your original install disk to the c: drive then download SP2 to C: drive then download the slipstream utility from MS. Running the slipstream utility then inserts the proper drivers (ide and HD drivers too) into the licensed copy you have. You then create a bootable disk from the slipstreamed files you have.

This approach is resolving alot of blue STOP errors and SMART errors.

ALSO, you want to make sure you are installing any drivers provided by the MB manufacturer AND Drive maker.

Good Luck

theres a program called spotmau ;you can download a free version off net( google "spotmau")first off download it then unzip contents and create a boot disk and copy contents to disk.( there is a instruction file included in the zip of how to do) then turn off pc making sure cd is still in tray.reboot.system will startup with spotmau and a menu page will come up.there is a section to remove all passwords choose it.when done remove disk and reboot to windows.The other way is to partially strip pc to remove rtc battery for a minute or so then replace battery and put pc back together.

Flashing Monitor

Sounds like either  a loose connection or a short in the cable going from the monitor to your computer.  Try disconnecting the monitor from the computer, and plugging it back in again.  If this doesn't resolve the issue, try bending the cable in different places.  If this causes the monitor to correct itself, even just for a little bit, it is a bad cable.  You can take it off from the monitor and the computer, take it to a store that sells cables, and get a new one.
