In that vehicle there is a factory amp. It will power up with the White wire in the factory harness. Hook the amp out wire from the aftermarket unit to this white wire. It also controls your antenna.

Radio developed fault. Sudden max audio output which cannot be reduced by volume control.Just before fault, a click was heard in the back of the car.

If you have steering wheel mounted controls then play with the volume switch and see if that drops the volume, if not unplug the steering wheel control harness for the radio an if that makes no difference then the radio is defective.

I have a eonon car DVD 7 inch that came out a BMW will it hook up to my Mazda protege 2003

every possibility as it is just a dvd player
your problems will be finding the correct wires to connect as the loom wires will be different colors and the connects may not be the same
I would engage the services of an accredited radio, dvd player shop installer that will have experience and possible the correct connections for the change

Hello, I have the Eonon C1308, it plays the radio just fine, but not audio from the cd/DVD or from a connected iPod, what is my problem please? It also doesn't stick to the same time I set it to. And...

Why did you install the Eonon was you getting radio feedback from the speakers? If not take it out you dont necessarily need it and see if the radio works without it, i checked online there are not many troubleshooting site available because normally its the product itself, i used one with my subs and it didnt work i still got feedback from the speakers, never did find out why check your ground wire and depending on how the old the radio is it might be time for a new one

No sound eonon 1012

As a simple test for the radio.. Connect both power leads, and the ground lead directly to the battery. If the radio powers up then you know there is a problem with your wiring, if the unit still does not power up, it's bad, and you are at the beginning of another rough Ebay story.

Sound increases as you accelerate. can you switch off?

I know what you mean. Used to be a source of irritation in this otherwise super-quiet car. It was like "hey... the music plays far too loud now please drive a little slower dad". Really irritating on the Autobahn, constantly fiddling on that volume knob.

Interestingly, the instruction manual for the business CD main unit gave no clues at all! Then I found the solution at the bimmerfest BMW forum:

"
1.Power down the unit (using the knob) and power back up in the radio mode
(either AM or FM).
2. Hold down the "m" button (right of the display) until your display shows
a serial # xxxxxxxxxxx.
3. Using the "+" or "-" buttons that surround the center "musical note
symbol" button to the left of your display, scroll until "GAL 3" comes up,
which is factory setting. Using the number buttons 1 thru 6 below your
display, press the number "1". Your display will now read "GAL 1 ".
4. Power down the unit again (using the knob) and when you power back up,
your new setting will be effective!
5. To confirm that the new setting is active, repeat steps 2 & 3 to check
your "GAL" setting.
6. Enjoy your HK unit's volume the way YOU want to hear it!
"

I assume there are slightly different versions of this in different models but it goes something like this, the keyword you are looking for in the menu system is "GAL" which is a German acronym for speed-sensitive volume control (Geschwindigkeitsabhängige Lautstärkenregelung für Radio).

Good luck!

I have recently added a Bluetooth ULF module to my car, every thing works except sound. I purchased the system from bimmernav.com, they supplied the old to new harness to connect from the original harness...

Hello Richard, when the ulf module was installed, was the jumper plug installed in the blue 26 pin connector in the left rear corner near the GPS unit. I think that if this plug is missing, you will not get any sound for the interface. This plug is required for vehicles with nav. I think it is called the Voice Input jumper plug.

No sound with USB and IPOD Apline IDA-X100

You connected your blue alpine wire (power antenna) to your blue wire (amplifier remote on) on the BMW harness adapter. You need to undo this, amputate your blue alpine wire (because your E36 has no power antenna) and connect the alpine blue wire with white stripe (remote power) to your blue wire on the harness adapter.

When you switch source from the radio, alpine is shutting off your amplifier through the connected power antenna wire. Since you're not listening to the radio anymore, it sees no reason why it should give it power.
