Question about Logitech Z520 Speakers

Open Question

I have windows xp pc. I purchased Logitech Z250 and the first set I purchased, emitted sound only from the main speaker, and not the second. I returned this set and exchanged it for a second set, which was tested in-store and both speakers emitted sound. When I set them up at home, I found the same problem... the second speaker emits no sound at all. I have unplugged and plugged again and again, but still no sound from the second speaker. what can be the problem? Please help.

SOURCE: logitech speakers will only play on 2 speakers not 5

Liamog, i bought the exact same speakers and sound card, and i had the exact same problem as you. I tried for days to fix it and it turns out that its only a setting you have to enable in your sound card settigns. If you go into your EAX console for your creative sound card you will find a thing that sams CMSS 3D, and all you have to do is select the button that says Enable CMSS 3d surround. I hope this will fix your problem. Alex.

There may be some sort of electrical device like a mobile phone or something that is near the base unit of the speakerset... try clearing the space around them.. or else it might be cuz of a loose connection... check n reseat all the cables & hopfully the problem will sort out...

Logitech z2313 speakers emit slow, wobbly sound

If that relates to all of the speakers, there may be an electrical dysfunction within the main control on the speaker system. Best you plug the speaker system into another device, DVD player, Amp, Receiver, Radio, etc. and see the problem follows you from device to device. If you do not have the same problem with other electronic devices; then the Computer is the source.

Hi,

I assume that you are trying to run them from a pc, try plugging them into another sound source like tv headphone socket or a media player to see if any sound is emitted from these, if sound is heard then its to do with your computer. Check your sound output settings to make sure the pc isn't muted or turned down and ensure that you are plugged into the green socket on the back of the pc.

verify if the computer has a digital output that matches your speakers (5.1 or 7.1). Also, verify that the cable leading from the PC to the main speaker box is OK. Also, the speakers may come with an installation CD, so you'll need to install the accompanying control application.

I purchased a new desktop PC with Windows 7, & I'm trying to find out what the correct connection is for the Logitech X-530 Speakers is. That is, can I get all the 5 speakers to work at the same time?

It depends on the sound-card in the PC.

The "back-left" and "back-right" speakers require special connections to the sound-card.
The "left" and "right" and "centre" speakers are connected to the "main-stereo-audio-out" on the sound-card, as per normal.
