If it comes up to brew temperature, you have to replace the steam thermostat, which is a DIY. There are 2 thermostats on top of the boiler. The one with the red dot is the brew thermostat, so the other one is the one you need to replace.

It is possible that the thermostat for the steam is not operating or need to be reset. There are 3 in the silvia machine. Remove the four screws on the top to gain access. Unplug machine before doing any maintenance first.

My silvia is less than 2 years old. Yesterday I let the steam switch on and forgot to turn it off after steaming. It was on for about two hours. Then it won't heat up either. Should I get new part

On the happy side, if you tried to re-heat the boiler and found this problem straight after it failed, the thermostat may still re-set once the unit cooled down. So leave it a day and try again. Alternatively, it could be a burnt out fuse or on the less happy side, a burnt out boiler.
If no lights come on its a failed fuse. But if everything else is normal but it still wont heat, the best option is to take it for a service to a qualified technician as it may be that the boiler was damaged.

Rancillio Silvia Steaming problem

Sounds like your Rancilio needs a service, this problem could be caused by the boiler not working correctly, possibly a leak from the boiler or a valve malfunction causing a drop in pressure.
