Check to see that there is signal actualy reaching it from the amplifier's sub output. I have seen this one a lot!

It is possible the the output stage or the speaker driver in the sub box is blown and requires service.

How can I hook up BIC F12 subwoofer to Onkyo TX-DS838 receiver? Will the receiver power the subwoofer and other speakers?

Get a RCA cable and connect from your amp where it said Sub Woofer in the Pre Out box in the back of the amplifier top left hand side and take it to the "Sub In" located in the back of your Sub woofer bottom right hand (White round connector).
Good Luck!

No sound or "green" light

Hi,
Your power supply have a problem. Check the FF:
1. Power cord - might be open due to frequent bending and pulling.
2. Power switch - for open contact.
3. Internal Fuse might be open. If open replaced with exact ratings. If the new fuse blew again this is an indication of shorts in transformer, Rectifier Diode, Main filter capacitor, output IC.
#3 is technical and you must have knowledge in electronics, have tools and test instrument to perform the steps.
Hope it may help you.
Give a thumbs up if you find it useful.
Have a nice day!

Pioneer Elite vsx-27tx receiver with no bass!?

There may be a subwoofer mute function on your amp. The sub out is nothing more than a preamp output with a low frequency response. It is meant to be amplified by an external amp. Either check your powered subwoofer for operation or look through your operators manual for a sub mute function.

I have a teac AG D8900 Digital Home Theater. My subwoofer seems to be dead. No lights come on the front of Sub Woofer even though it's plugged in. I tried changing outlets. The wire from speaker to...

I have the same-just talked to TEAC last week, if fuses(two 5 amp glass ones inside housing-just remove screws on back after un-plugging 120v power) on the LSR-1008 subwoofer are blown, it may be failed relays. I replaced my fuses, both blew w/in 5 seconds. Called TEAC today, relays are NOT available alone and are solder connected; however, complete new circuit board is plug in, part #APE000515-0001 at $47.69 plus shipping. Verify #s and price with TEAC, but now I must decide if it's important to keep this sub, or if another at around 60$ on Ebay is a better bet. Good luck!

No subwoofer output

1. Try twisting the RCA plugs from CD player and see if they are not connecting right.
2. Replace the cable from the Cd player to the receiver
3. Try a different input
4. Try a different CD player

See if any of those solve your issue. Replacing the cable worked for me one time
