it you have a repair skills you need to open the TV and make sure all the ribon connectors around the circuit boards are proper connected
and if all seems to be ok, the DG board will need to be replaced.

If you dont have any repair skills I would recommend you to take you TV to a repair shop since this is complex repair

Color distortion when playing DVDs

If the player has other outputs try connecting the player to the tv using one of them, ie: use the A/V output instead of HDMI from the player. If the problem goes away there is something wrong with the input on the tv.

No screen saver

depending on your tv there is a function to turn screen off. most tvs come with this feature. on the remote there will be an power key with a red or black button. this is to turn the screen off. if it does not have this function and there is no screen saver setting on the dvd play there is not much you can do for this situation .

Panasonic th37px60

Just taken mine in for repair and was told this. "After checks to Switching and Data flow to PDP, Suspect the Plasma display panel to be at fault
which also may well have caused damage to the buffer and logic boards."
I am presently trying to get currys to replace it as it 18 months old.
Forgot to say was quoted £1200 to fix!!!!

does the cd/dvd player have component hookups or are you just using HDMI cable, lots of tv's are having trouble with the HDMI protocol, I only use component cabling, it has HD capability up to 1080i resolution

Picture problem, half screen blank

On a plasma there are 2 buffer boards, upper and lower, it all depends which half of the screen is on as to which buffer to replace, the buffer boards are located usually on the left hand side if you have the back off the unit. You maybe able to reseat the ribbon cables and get the video back up
