You cannot without fooling the "water out" sensor... to do that you need to make sure the float is up... and even then... you really would have to take the bottom metal pan off... and remove the plastic hose from the bottom of the heater... you will NOT get 100% of the water out... so if you need to ship... you also should stuff paper towel where the K-CUP holder is... snap out the kcup holder and stuff paper tower in there...as there is water in the plastic hose lines in the unit... enough to make a mess...
