I want to block yahoo messenger on my computer, how can i do it?

Just block it from the Firewall settings: go to Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions and untick the mark next to it.
But the best solution is to uninstall it , from Control Panel > Programs.

I get error 'Unable to find destination PC-Check the PC' on Kyocera Mita

Hi.

This error means that there is a communication problem between the printer and the computer that is receiving scanned file. The error is usually prompted on network installed printers.

Check to ensure that the Scanner File Utility software is running and the computer is able to receive data.
Try restarting the computer and printer. Disconnect both units from power supply for five minutes before restarting.
Check if you have firewall or security software active on computer that can block communication from scanner. Ensure that the scanner utility is listedas an exception on firewall settings, if the application is not present, then you need to add it to allowed applications list.
Ensure that you have granted Scanner Utility access to system resources if asked.
Reinstall printer software and driver on PC. This can be done either using the disk provided with the printer, or using the download from Mita website.
Test the computer network cable. If cable is worn it can cause communication errors. This problem is usually occurring on LAN (network) printer installation. If using local installation via USB, then test using a different USB cable. If USB cable is damaged or too long (over 10 m.) , then you may get the error stated on local installation.

The most common reason for this problem is firewall settings or network problems. Network problems may be difficult to troubleshoot. Remember also that there is a built in firewall in the router resident software. If the router is set to block inbound communication from printer to computer, or if printer and computer are in two different IP ranges (eg. 192.168.1.xxx and 192.168.2.xxx), then you may get communication between computer and printer blocked by router firewall.

Here a setup manual (click to download), also ensure that you have performed scanner setup correctly.

Here also Kyocera Mita download driver page:Kyocera's managed print services .

Microsoft XBox Live and the 2Wire HomePortal

source: http://support.2wire.com (please visit!)

The Xbox Live service is compatible with all current and previously shipped versions of 2wire software. Simply connect your Xbox unit to the 2wire network and log on to the Xbox Live service.
If you are experiencing problems connecting to the XBox Live service, follow the troubleshooting procedures provided in your XBox Live documentation or XBox Live CD sleeve.
If you continue to have trouble, here are some additional troubleshooting tips:

1. Reconnect your Xbox to the 2wire Homeportal

Turn off the Xbox and unplug your 2wire HomePortal from the electrical outlet.

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Local Ethernet port on the 2wire HomePortal.

Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox console.

Plug your 2wire back into the electrical outlet and wait for all lights to turn solid green before proceeding.

Turn on your Xbox console (without a disc in the tray).

From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Xbox Live.

In the network settings, test the connection. The connection test should pass.

2. Create custom 2wire Homeportal firewall settings

Although a custom firewall setting should not be required, manually configuring your 2wire firewall ensures that it is not preventing your connection to the Xbox Live service.

HomePortal software version 3.x

From your computer, open a browser and type: http://homeportal into the address line to access your 2wire configuration pages. Alternately, you can type: http://gateway.2wire.net

Under the list of Connected Devices you should see a device labeled "unknown device". This is the Xbox unit.
Click on "View your home network" link in the same box.
Click on "Edit firewall settings" next to the unknown device.
In the lower left-hand corner of this screen, click on "Add a new user-defined application."
Enter "Xbox Live" for the Application Name.
Select Protocol "TCP".
In the port "From:" and "To:" boxes enter 53. Do not change the other settings.
Click on Add.
Repeat these same steps for the following ports and protocols:

Port Protocol
53 UDP
88 TCP
88 UDP
3074 TCP
3074 UDP

Click on "Done" in the lower right corner.
Under "Select a Host Computer" select the "unknown device".
Under "Select the Application(s)" click on "User-defined."
Select "Xbox Live" in the box on the left and click "Add."
Click on "Done" in the lower right corner.

HomePortal software version 2.x

From your computer, open a browser and type: http://homeportal into the address line to access your 2wire configuration pages.
Click on the "HomePortal Upgrades" button and if you have an upgrade available, download the upgrade. If you do not have an upgrade available, continue to next step
Under the list of Connected Devices you should see a device labeled "unknown device". This is the Xbox unit.
Click on "Advanced" link in the same box.
In the lower, left-hand corner of this screen click on "Add an application" link. Enter "Xbox 1" for the application Name.
Select Protocol "TCP"
Leave the Protocol setting as "Other".
In the port "From:" and "To:" boxes enter 53. Do not change the other settings.
Click on DONE on the "Add Application" page.
Repeat the same steps for the following ports and protocols. You will need to create a new name for each entry:

Xbox 1 53 UDP
Xbox 2 88 TCP
Xbox 3 88 UDP
Xbox 4 3704 TCP
Xbox 5 3704 UDP

Click on DONE on the "Hosted Application" page when you are finished creating the list above.

Need find out how portforward can you tell me how udp and tcp ports open

Here is the solution to help you out to do the port forwarding as you wished sir..

2wire-gateway-1921681254-300x234.png Once you have accessed your default gateway screen for your router, you will then want to click on the firewall tab at the top of the screen. After the firewall summary screen opens, you will then click on the firewall settings tabs to begin setting up an open port on your 2wire dsl router.
2wire-firewall-300x234.png Once the firewall setting screen opens you can then add an open port to your specific pc. Under step 2 you will see a list of predefined applications that have already been created for certain video games, servers and telephony (VoIP) services. Since in my example we are opening a port for Utorrent, we are going to manually configure port forwarding for one of my pc's. To be opening a port for Utorrent, click on "add new user-defined application" you can find the link just below the list on the left side of the screen.
2wire-edit-firewall-settings-300x234.png Once you click on add new user-defined application, you should have a window that resembles the one below. Within this window you should now be able to enter a name for the application that you are opening a port for. Underneath the application name, you know have the choice of either tcp or udp, and then you would enter a port number or a port range that you want to open up.
2wire-add-user-definition-300x234.png For security reasons, you should only open one port, unless the application specifies otherwise. The more ports that you have open on you router, the more doorways you open for hackers and viruses to enter your home network. Since we are opening a port for Utorrent, you are going to want to click on the tcp box and then enter the port number that Utorrent gives you, in my example I am opening up port number 51225. After you have entered you port number, click the add definition button. Once you have added the definition, you are going to then click on the back button.
2wire-utorrent-open-tcp-port-300x234.png After you have clicked the back button, you should now be at the edit firewall settings screen. All you have to do now is select your computer from the list that is listed After you have selected the computer that Utorrent will be hosted on, all you have to do is find the recently created user defined definition from the list under number 2. After you have located the Utorrent port forwarding application simply click on the add button, which should assign the Utorrent port forwarding application to your computer. After you have completed the above steps, you should be all set; now your Utorrent program should download and upload at a faster speed.

I have used Uttorent as an Example for you to have an idea how to do the work.. if you still have any problems or question just send a message i will get to you as soon as possible..

If you like the answer and it helped you please like the answer, it will be a great help.. Thanks

Motorola router nat not open for xbox live

Configuring the Firewall for Gaming
By default, the SBG900 firewall is disabled.
If, as recommended, you enable the firewall, refer to the game’s documentation to ensure that the necessary ports are open for use by that game.
The pre-defined SBG firewall policies affect X-Box LiveTM as follows:
LOW: XBox Live data can pass through the firewall. No user action is required.
MEDIUM or HIGH: To enable X-Box Live traffic to pass, you must configure:
• Choose Custom on the Firewall > POLICY — basic Page • UDP 88:88 and UDP/TCP 3074:3074 on the Firewall > POLICY — advanced Page
Configuring Port Triggers
Because the SBG has pre-defined port triggers for games using any of the following applications, no user action is required to enable them:
• DirectX 7 and DirectX 8 • MSN Games by Zone.com • Battle.net®
For a list of games supported by Battle.net, visit http://www.battle.net.
You may need to create custom port triggers to enable other games to operate properly. If you set custom port triggers and enable the firewall, you must customize the firewall to allow traffic through those ports.
To create custom port triggers, use the Gateway > PORT TRIGGERS — custom Page.

SB900 USER GUIDE
The motorola guide has more information relating to port triggers.
If you download the pdf file, go to page 27 for Firewall settings and Page 35 for Gaming Settings..
More indepth information is there.
Hope that helps
Mike

That seems to be a normal result (Lack of intenet access) if you are pulling down torrents if your router is configured as DHCP. UTorrent recommends static IP addressing to optimise the application.

You can restore your connectivity by closing the uTorrent application by right-clicking the icon in the taskbar and exiting the program completely.
