The Xbox Live service is compatible with
all current and previously shipped versions of 2wire software.
Simply connect your Xbox unit to the 2wire network and log on to
the Xbox Live service.
If you are experiencing problems
connecting to the XBox Live service, follow the troubleshooting
procedures provided in your XBox Live documentation or XBox Live CD
sleeve.
If you continue to have trouble, here are some additional troubleshooting tips:
1. Reconnect your Xbox to the 2wire Homeportal
Turn off the Xbox and unplug your 2wire HomePortal from the electrical outlet.
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Local Ethernet port on the 2wire HomePortal.
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox console.
Plug your 2wire back into the electrical outlet and wait for all lights to turn solid green before proceeding.
Turn on your Xbox console (without a disc in the tray).
From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Xbox Live.
In the network settings, test the connection. The connection test should pass.
2. Create custom 2wire Homeportal firewall settings
Although a custom firewall setting should
not be required, manually configuring your 2wire firewall ensures
that it is not preventing your connection to the Xbox Live service.
