SOURCE: How to discharge the TV tube?

First off there is no capacitor that holds the High voltage on the tube. Its the tube itself that stores the charge and if you dont discharge a tube properly it will bite you!!You can disconnect the 2nd anode of the tube(thats what the cup is called)that puppy can hold a charge for months as I've picked up used tubes that other service men may have striped out of a junk sets and still got zapped weeks later and it can burn a hole right in you if it bites you the right way. That metal strap is the ground for the crt(the picture tube) The proper way to saftly discharge a crt would be to take a screwdriver perferably a flat tip and connect a cliplead to the screw driver and clip the other end to the ground strap. Carefully slide the screwdriver up UNDER the cup on the crt till you reach the middle of the tube as you will feel it as it wont go any farther. In the meantime you might hear a pop sound and that would be the dischargeing of the tube.. Keep that screwdriver in place a min. of 30 to 40 secs. then remove . Then pinch the cup the oppisite direction on both sides that the wire is running as the cup is held in place by a small hooks on both sides Be carefull not to rip off the cup or bend the small hole suround that the cup is attached. And never ever poke a hole in the cup as I've seen peeps do and when you turn back on a set you will have fireworks as the high voltage will arch out all over the place and if your hand or face is close to it it will get you too!! Now take the clip lead and attach to the grounding strap and clip the other end to where you just took off the cup and your all set.Good Luck with your repair

SOURCE: icute to motherboard wiring

Hi, on the edge of your mother board closest to the front of the computer, you will find a double row of pins. Use a torch and if needed a magnifying glass and study these, you will find they are labeled the same as your cables from the case.
In some cases the plugs are set as a 3 space plug, if you find one of these that wont fit. just split it. If you plug the LED wire back to front, don't panic it won't hurt they just wont work. The power and reset are not pole sensetive.

SOURCE: wiring diagram for ford focus 2005 ghia 1.6

If you know which wires they are, ask an electrician to "but-splice" the wires back together.
Or if you think yourself wise enough to handle the situation, go buy, wire-strippers, **** splices and a crimper for those wire splices.
MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT SPLICES FOR THE GAUGE WIRE.
Strip the ends of either wire(you only need to strip about a1/4 inch), twist them CLOCKWISE, place them in the **** splice, and crimp the ends, and PRESTO! wire has continuity.
Make sure you splice the right wires together, or you will have blown fuses, and things not operating correctly.

SOURCE: Unable to fix casing wires to motherboard

those arent seriously important wires anyway  all they do is make it so you can use your front usb and audio jacks  you should have the same ones on the back of your mobo  you can try finding those wires from your case maker  what brand case is it  try going to there web site to see if there available  if not you may have to soldier them together to get them working again...
one more thing  try ebay  maybe someone is selling those wires or just the front part of that case good luck

There was a boken wire inside of the Tablet when we opened it. I closed up my Tablet and the ony way to get it to come on was to plug in the adapter. What do I do now to get my Tablet fixed/?

can u take pic of the inside for me? Alot of the time ribbins connections or ports and yes wires come loose. But wires rarely break inside the case. They can come loose due to bad sodering.
Most of these tablets have a speaker wire with is sodered to the speaker on back of housing and even I have pulled the loose on cases that wont pop off the tabs. Post a pic for me and ill look and see what where and maybe how to go from there..

Domotec digital steam press not heating up

This could be several things. There are thermal fuses, a thermostat, the coils, the safety switch or the controls.. You need to take it apart to check these things with a voltage/ohm meter.

I am trying to find somewhere to get spare parts (in particular the small detail brush) for this two-year-old steam cleaner. It appears that Domotec no longer have a UK distributor but I think they do...

Domotec does not exists anymore , however you can buy from www.espares.co.uk : Vax Steamer Nylon Brush (ES956244) which is similar to the one supplied with Domotec steam cleaner.

Msi motherboard for model k8t neo ms 6702

Its the model numbers that vary the most when looking for the manual. Click on the link below to open MSI download site;
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=K8T+NEO&table=download
While on MSI's site I searched for MS-6702 and left out the term, "K8T NEO". MSI provided the another link; http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=MS-6702&table=download
The model numbers K8T Neo-FSR and FIS2R, use the same manual.
See link; http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=manual&maincat_no=1&prod_no=565
K8T Neo2-F and FIR use the same manual.
From the pic included, Connect everything to JFP1. Connect the speaker to JFP2.
b972b2a.jpg Wire colors do vary from case to case. Normally solid colors like red, green, blue and dark blue are used as positive. White and black are negative. Each jumper pair will share a common color. That common color is negative except when hooking up the speaker wire. Black is used for negative.

Cheers!

I have a Domotec Cooker Hood, the switch that turns on the various speeds for the fan appears broken. Is it possible to get replacement switches?

It looks like Domotec has a facility in Wiltshire. The e-mail address is service@domotec.uk.com, and the phone number is 01249813835. I couldn't find any parts dealers here in the US, but I am sure there is a local dealer in your area that either carries a direct replacement or a generic replacement that may do.
