Peter, you need to enter your bios & make a change.
How to enter bios? Start the PC & begin pressing the Delete key every two seconds untill the display screen opens to the bios menue. Peter here at the main menue of your bios look to
Pg. 29 in your motherboard manual. If you do not have your manual download it from the link provided:
In order to move about in the Bios look at the bottom of the screen. There you will see how to move about using your keyboard.
Take your time in the bios. It can be confusing, even for me!
On pg. 30 change the Video (EGA / VGA) to AGP if available.
If AGP is not listed do not change.
Go to Pg. 35&36
Advanced Chipset Features
AGP & P2P Bridg Control Change to AGP if listed.
VGA Share Memory Size Change to 0 if possible.
The onboard/intergrated AGP uses part your system memory to function.
AGP & P2P Bridge Control
Play it safe & change to the size of memory to 256Mb.
Which matches your FX5200 memory
AGP Fast Write to Enable
AGP Driving Control set to Auto
AGP Master WS Write to Enable & same for Read.
Save & exit bios. The system will re-start.
If after your system starts back up & enters into windows & you notice you do not have video switch the cable connected to the other VGA out-put on the FX5200. Your display should show up.
Install your software for your new card.
If you have troubles Pete just post back here & I'll address them.
