Update flash player. Ensure that all browser windows and all other programs are closed when you start the updates.

If that does not fix the problem try turning off the security software.

Try downloading a different browser ans chack if depend on the browser (eg Chrome, Opera, Mozilla)

If still no luck, then there is a system problem, in that case the fastest way to proceed is doing an update installation of Windows XP.

Adobe Flash Player failed to install.

When upgrading to a newer version of Adobe Flash Player, it (AFP), will not install if there is a previous version installed.

AND, it will Not automatically uninstall the older version.

Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller tool. After it is finished, go back to Adobe Flash Player Support, download, and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

I cannot download adobe flashplayer. Whenever I go to certain sites, I keep getting told that I need to disable Java or I have an older version of Adobe. I keep trying to download FP, but it keeps failing....

I had this problem before..you need to clean the registry files stored in your computers harddrive. The problem you are having now is that the flashplayer will not complete the download because the old flashplayer is priority even though you have upgraded your browser. I spent a few days when this happened to me. Try this free registry cleaner from CNET, click on the link and download it. After you download it, install it and run the program and it will clean all of your old files out of the harddrive. It will find and delete the old versions of Adobe. After you do that, resart the computer and redownload Adobe flash player.
