JVC D32U BLACK/BLANK LCD SCREEN IN RECORD MODE

I get a black/blank screen on my LCD screen when I put the camera in RECORD mode. Playback works fine as does record/pause(screen icons)yet...NO PICTURE!! HELP???!!!???
