On your powerBoard the one that has your FBT flyback Transfomer
Look at the hori output Transistor and right behind it feeding to output is a 2K volt capacitor Ive seen them with tiny burt hole in them, causing lost of high voltage,if it is OK then you either have Bad FBT or Bad STK ICs. STK392-110s Mats Has Parts for this set 1-800-628-1118

Sounds like from your description the Blue CRT ( picture tube ) is shorted. I believe they are no linger available. If in doubt, I would call a service company to verify this.

Sony KP53XBR45 Hi, this tv lost video while watching it but still had sound. now when press power button the light flashes 7-times and will not power up. Please help, Thanks.

the IC's on the circuit board will have to be replaced. it is common. this controls the convergance which seems to be off. the stk's can also be bad causing no picture. Depending on what type you have. You can get a manual and a tester and test each cap to see which one is the faulty one.

Sony KP-FX43M31

On the Sony FX43 100Hz 43-inch rear projection TV, three flashes indicates an Over Voltage Protection problem, occurring in one of the power supply circuits T603 or R672.

The fix will most likely cost more than the set is worth second-hand, I'm afraid.

NO PICTURE, ONLY AUDIO.

Hi

Your TV is trying to tell you what is wrong with the red flashing.

Five flashes means that you have a white balance problem or the x-ray protection is enabled.

Although I could tell you how to solve the problem, this is not really something you should try and do by yourself.

If your set has Tele-Text that is most likely where your fault comes from. This is however something a Sony techinician should fix.

Sorry about the bad news.

Good luck.

plug it out to reset itself and if that does not work, you will have to call a tech as the tv has a problem in its power supply an its related circuit good luck.
