Page size for CD printing

I want to print my CDs from CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator. I can't find the page size that corresponds to the CD tray. Is there a template (like a label template) specifically for the R260? If not, can anyone tell me the page size they are using?

I use Surething to print my labels (I have a Canon IP4300) as it allows you to create your own custom templates. With the Canons the CD trays are different depending on model and I would not be surprised if the Epsons are the same. To create a template (in any software) you need an accurate ruler to get the exact measurements of the tray. Once you have them then it's simply a matter of setting your "page setup" to accommodate those measurements. You will need to specify page size, left, right and top margins. Top and left margins give the printer the start point and right margin gives width of print.

Using a graphics program to print CD labels is clumsy at the best of times and the task is a lot easier if you use a dedicated label print program. PrintCD is okay but Surething is the best! Download the trial version of Surething and then get the Canon templates (my creations) from my website here. Once you load them have a look at the page setup to see how to create your own (for your Epson).

Zim - not so. Printing a CD label is the same as printing anything else - it's simply a task and is dependent on page setup (and instructing the printer to use the printer tray as the paper source). Using PrintCD (for Epsons) only makes the print job a little easier as the printer is already setup for you. However, you can use any CD label software to do the job.

I think that the CD/DVD printing ability depends on the software that epson bundles with the printer.
I had the EPSON R200 and i could only print CD's from the EPSON PrintCD software.

In my experience with Adobe products and DesignJet Printers, you have to go to Effects in the Printing Preferences and change Resizing Options from Actual Size to Print Documents On: page size that you want.

It's a weird bug that never seems to get fixed.

the issue here is whether your canon can handle that size of paper. is it running on the manual insert tray?

when you choose paper source, you'll need to identify where the paper is coming from..

try that..

of course, up to date drivers are here

Tray output

You should configure TRAY 1 as Legal only.
and Tray 2 as plain letter.

Specially when you specify from what tray/paper type to print.

This can be easily configured from the Printer Properties within the Printers and Faxes section of the Control Panel.

Good luck!

Dear Sppamelot You did not write the software name, in which you are working. Place / open your document in word, coreldraw or pagemaker, photoshop or adobe reader. Put this document exectly in page shown on your screen, where you want to print. Size dosn't matter. it will print exect that place, where you have put it.
