Question about HP PSC 950 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When i follow the directions in the users manual for scanning files/images to my Windows Xp Home Edition computer.. i get the following message: Sorry, scanner could not be intialized ( scanner not found).
First make sure that the scanner drivers and all the PSC drivers have been installed.
Or try to reinstall the printer drivers by removing all Hewlett Packard's applications from "add - remove programs" in the control panel. Then disconnect your printer and restart the computer.
When the PC finishes loading windows, insert the HP printer software CD while pressing SHIFT on the keyboard for 30 seconds. Connect the printer again and follow the "Found new hardware" wizard instructions. When a gray sandglass pops up, choose "Decline" or "Not agree" to the license terms and continue with the installation.
After that, try to scan again from Photoshop or another scanning program. Remember that in the reinstallation, you haven't installed the HP image zone software.
