Question about Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Heater Thermostat Control - 303282
Two main possibilities: It could be a ventilation issue, in which case check the vent pipe is not blocked or clogged. Depending on the installation type there can be fresh air intake issues as well. Some draw outside air through a vent in the floor.
Second issue could be the thermocouple; the sensor that tells the valve to stay open based on heat from the pilot. Always turn gas to the off position and ventilate for several minutes between tries for safety. Hope this helps:)
