If you have no sound, you may have more than one cableing issue. You can get a new s video cable at almost any hardware store these days or walmart if you shop there.

There should be a video cable you connect to the video card and also to the monitor. It should look something like this.

I also notice that it has a TV out. There would also be a co-axial cable output close to the VGA output. That would connect to the TV. If you want to use the TV though you will need the proper software to operate it or expand your desktop to it.

What cables do i need to connect to a t.v. to get surround sound please

It depends what the source of the sound is. If you are using a dvd player or hifi/dvd combo that has surround, dobly pro logic, surround simulation or cinema sound...it will have HDMI, Optical, Digital outputs. The newer items use the HDMI to send Audio and Visual signals to the Hifi. If not...you will either have to do the simulation on your hifi if it has that feature. You can also use the SPDiF or Optical cable from your source to the hifi. If all that is missing...the standard 3-way RCA cable (Yellow,Red and Black) will do where yellow is video and the red and black is the stereo source of sound.

My ps3 has no picture or sound...

if there's absolutely nothing on the TV screen, then most probably the video output is different then the cables you are using (eg: video output HD and you are using AV cables). Are you sure your TV is set correctly? like using HD cable you have to choose HDMI or AV cable choose AV. Anyway, When the PS3 is on, turn it off by pressing and holding the power button on the front (so the light turns red) you will hear beep sound ( I can't remember how many but not once). This should reset the Video output to AV. Swithch to AV cables (if you're using HD). Usually if the system is set to AV output and you switch to HDMI cables, the system recognizes that and swithches to HD output. But if it's set to HD output and you are using AV cables, it doesn't switch back; that is what my system does.

Different sound levels dvd and cable hdtv yamaha htr-6130

Well, first of all, the method you are using is the lowest quality. You should upgrade to a toslink(digital optical cable) or a digital RCA cable. The toslink is the best all around. But it is normal for some devices to have higher sound output than others.
